Your in laws are wonderful but there’s only so much they can do. I have never ever seen such a messy apartment. Couches covered with sheets, pillows scattered everywhere, kitchen counters overflowing with stuff, no placemats on the table etc, etc. The apartment is like that of a college frat boy. Get some containers, bins, shelving units, armoire, and put your house in order.
