I'm getting there at a snails pace Jacqueline. Steve has just invested in a new camera with mics so I will be more vocally louder . Not sure about working from a script I like to say what I see and try to forget about camera, I just need to remember to talk and look at the camera and for most be confident and relax more. Lovely hotel review and that breakfast looked beautiful even though no juice 😂 never gave cyprus a thought but I know my sister loves it there as she always goes on about it , your channe is booming and you must be delighted. Thankyou again very enjoyable

We are ecstatic how fast the channel is growing and we have a lot of loyal followers like yourself, we feel very privileged. 😊 Juice was included in breakfast, but not on lunch or evenning meals. Unless you were all inclusive. This particular morning they hadn't taken the notice away from the evenning before. All was good in the end. Lol. xx

Hi, really enjoyed your review of Avlida hotel, Cyprus, I’m coming in October and wonder if you could answer a question for me, you said there was a bottle of water in your room every day but other reviews have said they only got one on first day and then had to pay for any after so wondered if when you checked out you were charged for your other bottles.? Love the reviews! I usually stick to the canary islands as they are a safe bet for good weather all year round, but feel maybe next year its time for a change, Paphos looks lovely, and I notice that cars drive on the left like in UK?? Am I right, cos you hired a car while there. Helpful if I want to hire a car to get about. How long was your flight? Sorry for all the questions guys!!

We love the Canary islands too. Going to Tenerife in May and lanzarote in September. They drive on same side of road as in UK. Steve did the driving but honestly I myself would have no problem driving out there which I will do on our next visit end of September. Definitely recommend Paphos. x

Had to add an additional message for yourselves regarding Paphos-Cyprus, as a solo traveller i am penalised with "single- supplement " that equivalent to "half- another non existence guest" that makes my stay, overly expensive ... just thought you might address this additional cost to the "solo traveler " wont determine my travelling but though yous might address on your platform the question as to why ? I stayed there myself, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly. We only stayed bed and breakfast and could not fault the breakfast. If you haven't booked a pool or Seaview room then I'm afraid the view from your room won't be very attractive, but the rooms are a decent size. The corridors are long with tiled floors so they can be noisy out of 7 nights we had three nights disturbed sleep as a result of noisy drunks returning in the early hours of the morning. Would I stay there again yes but I'd make sure I had a pool or Seaview room as far away from the stairs or lifts as possible !

I really liked this video. I’m actually going to this hotel in a couple of weeks for my first holiday on my own. Does the hotel have a good selection of food for people with dietary needs? I’m coeliac and worried there won’t be a lot for me to eat

We only did breakfast. The hotel is so accomadating I'm sure if you emailed them or tell them on arrival they would help with dietary meals. This hotel is exceptional. Have a wonderful trip. x

They have Wi-Fi They have (smallish) flat screen TV’s in the bedrooms They have a new control panel in one of the tiny lifts ……other than that this hotel hasn’t been touched since the early 80’s! If you want a view DO NOT BOOK A PARTIAL SEA VIEW ROOM! Basically overlooks a very run down neighbouring property. We swapped and moved into a pool view room which are surprisingly considered a downgrade, but much better. Both rooms we had (and I suspect most in the hotel) had an adjoining door to the next room, which meant sound, conversations TV noise from that room were very noticeable. All that being said, the staff are excellent, the food is very good, the pool is great and the place it’s spotlessly clean. They could do themselves a big favour by replacing all the endless bits of laminated A4 paper they use as signs with some proper signage, would probably cost all of 100 euros to fix this for entire hotel. Still had a great time here and in Paphos. Just don’t book here if you’re expecting a modern luxury hotel, cos it ain’t!

This hotel has a very bad reputation for the way it treats its staff, massive turnover. very under paid. Many locals like myself wont entertain the hotel... regarding buses, intercity run mainly from Kavella bus station, in the old town. Maybe they look at it as a get what you pay for , it is a cheap hotel for bed and breakfast. That's why I shared it to the hate page , to give some balance.

I think it's more a case of some people love Paphos and others that don't and take their unhappiness out on the hotel. I've stayed in terrible hotels in Spain yet I still enjoyed getting out every day and taking in the general atmosphere of the area. A holiday is what you make it, as anybody can find fault with any hotel if they look hard enough.

Sorry you wasn't impressed with hotel, we only had breakfast, no wasn't a banquet selection but what was available as seen in our vlog it was feash and tasty. For the price this hotel was spot on. If you want the ritz then you have to pay the price. As a friendly and exceptionally clean hotel with comfy and spacious room we could not fault it. Thank you for your opinion.

If you want a Luxury hotel then no its not the ritz. However for a good budget holiday hotel this in our opinion meets everything you need.
