The lead singer of Alphaville is Marian Gold, who is now 69 years of age. This song released on September 20, 1984. Almost forty years later, and Mr. Gold still has it. An amazing voice! I just discovered "Forever Young" a week ago and it is already one of my favorite songs. How beautiful it is!

This is so beautiful, and I am also glad to see how the singer of the Alphaville has changed along the years. His voice is still powerful and very finely tuned to the song. I do believe this song is a universal message of eternal youth, no matter what your biological age may be. Deep inside of us, youth never dies, it always stays there. To think this only reached 98 in the UK charts when it was first released is beyond me. I know the 80’s was full of amazing songs but this has number 1 all over it and everyone knows the song. I suppose it just proves that charts means nothing when it comes to quality music.
