Terrific information and presentation, once again, from our 'hair system guru.' Very generous of you, Rick. Your videos have great credibility, not only because you are a hair system user, but also, I believe a professional hair stylist (barber?). I use the same system, with 40% grey. I remove the glue in much the same way as you, but I find the round cotton makeup pads a little more user friendly. I just spray my unit with C-22 about 15 minutes before cleaning. Once I remove the glue (I only do the perimeter) I put some Dawn soap on the skin side, add water and flip the unit in half both ways and give it a gentle rub, back and forth. Then I rinse, and give it a shampoo and condition, and allow it to dry overnight. One thing I've noticed, and have to be careful about, is using a hair dryer. Normally, I allow the unit to air dry, and wash once every 4 days when I do my 're-fit', but now and then I'll wash and condition it during the week. The grey hair, which is synthetic, can very easily curl at the ends, which I assume is from the heat. I try to hold the drier as far away as I can, and if in doubt, switch to the cold blow mode. I'm curious, is your grey system all human hair? If not, do you have any issues with the ends of the hair curling? Not sure if Superhairpieces has the human hair available in the 40% units or not. Anyway, brother, fall is here and winter is coming in Canada! Brrrr. Stay cool down there in Texas, and know you are appreciated! Dave

Hey man! Thanks for all the tips. Yes the grey is synthetic and I don’t seem to notice the ends curling. I am very careful with the blow drying as well. Makes it frizzy if your not careful. Natural grey for me tends to be less manageable. Love the makeup pad tip!!! Stay warm my friend. Will be traveling to Canada in late November. Brrrr. For sure!

I'm wearing my new system and I am having a lot of trouble keeping it conditioned even though I use leave in conditioner and regular conditioner when I wash it. Plus if I use a hat out doors it makes the system hair very frizzy. I have even tried wearing a silk handkerchief in my hat.

Hey man! First question, do you blow dry? Heat makes it worse. What conditioner do you use? I do all of that plus I use a spray shine product that has a bit of an oil base that makes it nice.
@RedRonFJB Жыл бұрын
@@thehighlevelman No, I don't blow dry at all. I am very careful with my system and don't even wear it out in the sun. It's 80% gray /white and I am told that gray hair is courser and dryer than regular pigmented hair. I use nutri-fuse shampoo and conditioner. which was recommended by my stylist. When I wash it and condition it, it's nice / looks good but after a day or so it goes back to being dry and frizzy. It is Remy hair and maybe I should have gotten European hair instead.

@@RedRonFJBman, it’s not recommended to do this but I wash and condition every day. The hair never seems to suffer or look dry. It, I also use hd111 unit which I replace about every six week or so. Hope you find a solution my friend. Peace!

Rick tends to try different colours. Nowadays, he is wearing systems with less grey.
