I'm a mover loyal and honest and we don't do weight going cross country. I know by what i see in a video or going to the house before hand. Not all cases is weight a requirement but it is an accurate tool for sure. No matter how a company prices doesn't effect how good they actually are. Those Red flags you mentioned are key. Quoting without seeing anything or even taken down a detailed inventory about what is in the house. Im sorry you went through this, i get alot of calls from Customers who went the cheapest route and then i get a call crying about how they need my help and they made a huge mistake. If they still have your stuff, i can not help you in sorry. So like you said my dear. Read flags watch out folks. There are some real snakes out there. If it sounds to good to be true its usually is 😢

You should tell the better business bureau about the company who treated and did you wrong and also let that company know if they don't give you your money back u will call the better business bureau after you already called or before it's up to you but they don't want that problem praying things will work out for you 😊

Thank for sharing this because I did mention this exact scam a while back about movers. I rather rent a truck and hire the men movers, but I only move a home locally with furniture. welcome to Texas flood and storm because I stayed there 3 years and it flooded at least 6 time.

There are crooks out there trying to rip people off. Something similar happened to me dealing with who I thought was Expedia online but it was not but claimed to be. I called to cancel reservation 2 months in advance for a refundable room I booked and was told I would have to pay a cancelation fee. I was like for what I'm canceling 2 months in advance for a refundable room that I have not even paid for yet. They were trying to get my card information. It was a mess until I called the hotel directly and got the correct Expedia customer service reps.

Sorry for your troubles in your moving journey. Report that crooked company to the Better Business Bureau. Another tip for you is to always check the BBB website for any company. You can file a small claim court case with the courts. You have the option of a judge or arbitrator hearing your case. I selected the arbitration process. It was easier and direct. You take all your documents and telephone conversations, voicemails, and emails. Keep fighting the crooks and get your deposit back. Good luck and blessings to you.

Happy blessed New Year to you & your family .Yes, yes it almost happen to us, relocating from New York to Georgia, three years later, getting our home in Georgia, “ a particular establishment “ did not want their workers to unload our furniture until we paid the company an additional fee by check, are you kidding me, Thank God, I’m no longer that “Brooklyn grandma” he would have been called anything but a child of God, truth be told we never forget where we come from. 😀😀😀😀 In any event, folks please be mindful & careful.
