Conclusion: When a person applies ash, or tilak on forehead, our mind keeps its focus on it throughout the day. Due to which we receive the outer world from the organs which are more capable ( ie chitt or mind). But generally people see other beings as sexy, beautiful, ugly, poor, rich and ignore the soul or attaman that is common in all beings. Also the way we behave, the way we dress, the way we talk, the way we shop, seems like we are an immortal being and therefore ignore the truth, the one and only, MORTALITY.

Your Body is a form is temporary but you as a tatva and it's shakti energy is eternal. Also known as Atman or Brahman or Shiva. For eg.
