✋🏼 Stop stretching out your garments as you sew!
Sewing stretchy or jersey fabric on an overlocker is technically safe choice, but the machine could still stretch out the fabric. It’s not always noticeable, but at the beginning of a project, I always recommend checking if you need to adjust the DIFFERENTIAL FEED.
⚙️ That’s the setting on your machine that’s either going to feed fabric through by stretching it or gathering it. If your fabric is being stretched (against) your will, you need to move the dial towards the “gathered” setting ever so slightly.
✨ Good preparation makes your sewing project go a long way, and will make the finished garment look way more professional!
Also… who wants a stretched-out bodycon dress? Absolutely noone.
