"The front door was more of a welcome mat for drafts"....that's hilarious and so accurate 😅 Gully's are wretched, Victorian and Edwardian properties are riddled with them....surely your survey should have checked the roof?

Could literally feel the draft strolling through the front door. I know! Picked up on so many things but that wasn’t one of them unfortunately, would have had it done with the initial roof repairs!

Christ, it’s scary! We bought one in January. Had tenants already and still in it. We had a full structural survey done that did not really pick up on anything major. It’s all fully managed by a rental reputable company, serviced etc but now I watch this it’s making me wonder if things lurk beneath. May I ask how the hell it’s possible to keep just affording more and more work done on it, will house insurance pay for things if found..if the survey missed it?! I paid 1200 for the survey it so really hope not a waste of money.! Thanks

@@sallyvaughan1231 unfortunately the answer is you have to pay up! Hence why we’ve done little by little over time - and why you tend to see that being the norm unless people have the savings or/and loan to completely gut it all and renovate in a quicker set period!

No one can sort your house better than yourself. The country is full of scavengers ready to take your money for a quick crappy job. There is no quick job when it is regarding major renovation. There is no magic wand!
