@Slomoshun u have likely already done the only exclusive house quest then, the one b4 going to the forbidden forest that for me in Slytherin was to recover something for a house elf but for Gryffindor is to help Nearly Headless Nick with something, Ravenclaw helps out Olivander while Hufflepuff goes to Azkaban, that is the one quest that is specific to your house in the game, i guess they didn't want to make things exclusive to your house chice but had alread put that quest in the game or something, that it just seems like a way to telt if exclusive quests could work and they didn't like it so they didnt add anymore idk.

I will choose Ravenclaw. I like the quarters, yes, warmer colors would be nice, but the main reason, they are in the tower. In the trailers you see, they have a roof garden. So you should be able to go there straight from the quarters. And if that is this way, il will start every morning with a broom flight arround the school.

@@brots3 Meanwhile the game is out, and yes, they have a roof garden, they have a door to it. BUT its locked. You have to reach the quest with Mr Moon in the Main Story to be able to unlock the door.

My first playthrough will be with Ravenclaw. I love the idea of solving problems with intelligence and logic. Second will be Hufflepuff because I love their common room and I love working with animals and plants. Third playthrough will be Gryffindor, and last, Slytherin because nothing in that house appeals to me except the leadership quality.

You should check my earlier sorting video as that one will give you a better result (based on the same questions of Wizardingworld, but just more). I for example first got sorted because of a few 'left or right' and 'river or trees' questions for Gryffindor, while taking the Quiz again with 2-3x more questions, I always got Ravenclaw / Slytherin, definitely something to think about!

I do think that each house should be a different experience with characters liking you more or less depending on your house and many different paths or decisions that you can take depending on said house. Would make for a very interesting experience and would make people play the game at least 5 times each. I wasn't worrying I couldn't interact with some characters or not do some decisions, rather the contrary, I worry that all houses will be the exact same thing with only the robes having a different color. Relationships and at least 2 quests are revolves around your house. So yes, there is replayability although the initial “magic” of the game will have worn off greatly.

I completely agree. I used Pottermore and was sorted into Slytherin. If you look at the Sebastian Questline, the narrative and decision making is so fitting of being Slytherin house. I have a feeling if you chose Griffyndor, it would be a totally different perspective with the way you choose to assist Sebastian. I think having this game as an MMO RPG, with Quidditch in the game and your house and morality actively affecting the outcome would really make a unique game play experience and drive replayability. I want to say, I did thoroughly enjoy this game. I look forward to now playing as the other 3 houses.

common mistake 6: If you are a Griffindor and you think your common room sucks, you propably have the wrong gender. It is almost criminal how much of the common room has been locked behind the girls only staircase.

I'm almost never in my common room except to drop off tokens for the daedalian keys on occasion and when it dumps me in my room after a keeper trial. Let me say the biggest mistake I made early on, and it absolutely got me killed by trolls and a dark wizard in one mission over and over (you buying a store) the protection spell, You have right from the bigging of the game and I forgot it immediately despite it being only a single button press, get used to using it. That was the biggest mistake I made in playing the game because the dark wizard beat me like a Weasley(red headed) step child.

One thing is not true "you gonna be in the common room a lot" that's not true lol you will not be in your common room at all, just for a chest that u can open with tokens that u can get trough out the playtrough...

So far I haven’t seen any indication that you can take “companions” with you, outside of missions related to them. So less of a companion system and more of a acquaintance system, sadly.

If you aren't sure about your house, I saw a question asked and depending on how you answer is what house you are in. "You come across a locked door that you need to get through. How do you do it?" Tame a moment to think about what you would do and then read the following. If you chose to pick the lock, you are Slytherin If you said break the door down, you are Gryffindor If you look for a key, then you are ravenclaw And if you simply knock on the door then you are Hufflepuff. Everytime I ask that question, people answer in one of those four ways and it is pretty accurate for them. Hope this helps!

The houses are essentially just based on your personality. I can’t imagine the gameplay corresponding to your personality wouldn’t be something you’d enjoy. I’d think it’d feel more awkward to play a house that doesn’t naturally represent you.

First run at this game, I was Hufflepuff (no idea why - that's how I was selected) and there were 'battles-a-plenty'. I also rarely visited the common room..? Next run I will select another house probably Ravenclaw, leaving the two very popular ones to a possible 3rd and final fourth run through. This video was kinda useless though as - I failed to notice the 'mistakes' you mention??

Okay the first two things are actually bad, the Slytherin-Gryffindor rivalry as another has said has it's origins well before the birth of Voldemort, and I actually WANT unique companions specific to my house, along with unique quests specific to said houses, what all these changes do is essentially makes it so the only meaningful difference in house choice is aesthetics/cosmetics, which is not true to the Harry Potter world whatsoever, no matter what 'timeline' it's in. Ultimately this makes your house choice outside of a unique dorm area, very shallow. Hell, they should have gone as far as to make dialogue options fit the personality/house of your character, aka still give you dialogue choices, but with a flair of personality of said house. There should be rivalry not just between students but staff as well, in the movies and books there was always intrigue about the inner politics of Hogwarts with teachers having their own agendas and such, such as house loyalty or another personal motivation, it should be the same here. I WANT to be a Slytherin going to a class taught by a Gryffindor teacher who always gives me the stink eye because they know I'm their number one student but they hate that fact, I WANT to be a Gryffindor student fighting an uphill battle against a Slytherin headmaster who clearly favors his house whenever the house points are being counted or when punishments are being given out. I want to be a Hufflepuff and feel like the outcast of the school, but at least I'm with a whole house of outcasts that fit right with me. I want to be a Ravenclaw egghead who is a master with a ink and quill as well as a wand, who has such an overbearing intelligence that it annoys other people, but not the brothers and sisters of my house. Things like this are what separate the real RPGs from the pretenders, and adds significant replay-ability to said RPGs, something that is frankly lacking in a number of titles today. House choice should be as meaningful in this game as it was in an old classic Vampire: The Masquerade, where you chose your own vampire clan and the entire story and gameplay was altered based on this choice. Anything less is quite frankly going to be very disappointing.

Nice video but you are canonically wrong about rivalry. Griffindor and Slytherin were ALWAYS rivals, starting from a millenia ago with the rival founders in Godric and Salazar

I've always wanted to be a Slytherin and every time I've taken the house test I've been placed in Slytherin so I don't think there is much to think about when it comes to that. lol
