Mr. Beast was talking about how he thinks it's worth it to film a 15 second clip, and spend hours trying to get it right. He said that people appreciate things like that. That handstand pushup? It was hard AF, my shoulder was killing me afterwards. All for a 3 second shot. And you noticed. I thought that was pretty cool.

Black Caesar was a legendary 18th-century African pirate. The legends say that for nearly a decade, he raided shipping from the Florida Keys and later served as one of Captain Blackbeard's, a.k.a. Edward Teach's, crewmen aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge. 😁

I really needed this lol. There are so many videos talking about how to make things slim, but not enough about where to stop.

I'm not a man, but a lot of your tailoring advice has been applicable to my own projects, and when I feel a bit intimidated about taking in a garment I watch one of your motivational videos. Your energy is inspiring and your videos help me feel confident enough to try my best. Thanks for all the effort and energy you put into teaching others. Wearing clothes that fit, that I tailored or made myself, has been such a confidence boost. I didn't realize before how the perfect fit can make such a big difference in not only how I look but how I feel about myself.

Thank you for doing these videos. I teach fashion design to high school students. I am very focused on making inexpensive garments look like a million bucks. I always include videos for my students to be inspired but my poor guys have been very under represented. Your videos and how you present will help inspire my High School Boys to redo and upgrade their work. And you "look cool" as one of them said the other day - not sure if I should be insulted by that but I get it. Keep it up.

Man, those high school kids have NO IDEA how lucky they are to learn something like that at that age! If I knew how to tailor my own clothes in high school I would have had like 34 girlfriends at once. No I wouldn't have I would still be awkward... Thanks for the awesome comment man!

Yes my first alteration test runs I watched the videos and measured things like they said. But then felt really compelled to sew things tighter than the measurements. The measurements did not seem to be enough - but on a folded seam they are actually doubled. If you are tapering both seams on a trouser leg, that measurement is quadrupled. Also it felt like a lot of work for such a tiny change. If I'm going to all this trouble, I might as well make a big change? No. I've found a subtle change is often all that is needed. I had many trousers with quite wide legs but except one pair which had big flares, they only came in 1 centimetre each seam.

When I start a KZbin channel one day, I’m going have to shoplift some of your lines. Hope there are not copyrighted or I’ll just have to see you in court. Great video and C.S. is out deuces 🤣

I've had the unfortunate incident of the upper button coming undone on a shirt (I feel I have the unfortunate incident of being in between two sizes.) A coworker made a similar type joke. What makes it bad is that I actually have space in the chest for the shirt, and off the rack medium slim fit can come with the unfortunate matter of having the sleeves too long. On a side note, your Black pirate comment has has me wondering about Roberto Cofresi's appearance when he was alive.

yo SD you should do a tapering and hem video for basketball shorts/swim trunks so we can all look like models!

got huge for the past year; now all my perfectly tailored shirts are tight on my chest, shoulders, arms, and back. btw could you please make a video on tailoring joggers with an elastic cuff on the ankle? I asked my tailor to hem my joggers but she said it was too hard
@John.Doe-OG4 жыл бұрын
That's a good one. My elastic cuffs got stretched out on one of my pair. That video would solve both our problems.

I remember buying in zara this superslimfit shirts and they fit perfect when i standing. Buy them and be so happy, finally A shirt that for. After a dinner with my women and she Tell "Why your buttons pull". Now i buy slim fit and tailored this . Then shirt is tailored look Good and dont look bad when move or seat. Shirt that looks Good only when we standing with arms down, can be very dissapointing when we go out and move.

Hey SD, I know this doesn’t mesh with your style perhaps, given that you like well fitting clothes, but how would you approach tailoring purposely oversized clothes? Like what if I get a shirt that would look good oversized so I get it a size up, how do I tailor it to look purposely/stylistically oversized and not just too big for me? I don’t know if that’s possible or if the question makes sense but no one online has the answers it seems so I figured I’d ask the only person who might have a clue.

If you're into podcasts I love when Timesuck covered Piracy. It's on KZbin, and alot of music servers. Slaves breaking free and then making the rules? Hell yeah there were some people like FUCK THIS! I WANNA BE A PIRATE. The story is mostly based around black beard-Mr. Teach. Sucks that I'd probably be a rowdy prostitute they send to Tortuga to combat alot of meat swords. Let us know what kind of pirate you imagine yourself to be. Ps. This video helped alot. I'm proud of my closet.
