My wife and I enjoy your videos. You seem to have a contagious laugh. Makes us happy. Where we live we’re plagued with mosquitoes, biting midges (gnats) and no see ums. We now buy Little trees car air fresheners. You want to get vanilla flavored. We cut then in half and wear them. Bugs don’t like them. Hope this helps. Keep up the great videos

If I could send a picture of these I would. I’m allergic to these biters and this allows me to get outside. These insects will bother people who don’t have this on their cap or shirt. Plus it smells good

Probably the most realistic video I’ve seen on KZbin of camping life. Moments of frustration, anxiety and bliss. So many channels are all happy glossy having fun videos but you are showing exactly what I’ve experienced. I can totally relate to you guys.

We are from Kansas, too. We lived in Wyoming for 2 years when my husband was stationed there in the Air Force. We absolutely loved it there. We moved back to Kansas for family. But, we seriously considered staying in Wyoming after he retired. Seeing the landscape made me "home sick".

We are one week into our full time RV life and gain inspiration from you all. I’ve been envious of your rig, but after seeing the trials of finding a site that’s big enough, our 30 foot class A may be good enough.

I have a really beautiful screensaver from Wyoming. If you are near Brooklyn lake and I’m not sure where you’re going they have camping there are no hook ups. There is a trailer you can take that will take you out to several lakes and you will see the most beautiful granite mountain tops I’m sure you’ve not seen those yet. Enjoy your sunset. Safe travels.❤️❤️

Next time break out the drone and scout the area. I suggest you purchase a couple sheets of 3/4” plywood and cut length wise (2’x8’). You want at least 4 prices. They come in handy when you get stuck. Add a couple 2x12 boards about 3 feet long. Then when you get high sided use your trailer jacks lift the rig and put the boards under the tires. Some time you need to visit us in Glamis CA. We will fix Sheila’s need for speed running the dunes.

Buy a Polaris RZR. RZRs are made for Offroading. We use our RZR for exploring BLM and State Forests trails. We just picked up our 34ft Grey Wolf toyhauler 4 days ago at the dealer, ordered in early February. It was worth the wait! We're excited!

Hey Todd, I understand your stress, been there👍👍👍 I found 2" thick by 2' rough sawn white pine blocks once dry only weigh about 1.5 pounds each, and I use them all the time when I see that the tires are going to drop, keeps tail up. (Up or down grade)...hope this helps. GREAT VIDEO😁👍 Reminded me alot of my experiences... 😂

It’s an expensive bathroom. 🤣 We just got back from our first tent camping trip and I have to say the bathrooms in the state park left a lot to be desired... not to mention the hike to get to them! Never underestimate the luxury of your own clean, bug free bathroom. 🤣 I had to trick my 4 yr old by telling her she shouldn’t be afraid of the spiders because they were just having a dance party. Looks like a great boondocking site! I love how Sheila makes you brave, Todd. Great video!

In the future, with BLM land it’s best to research ahead of time by reading reviews online, so you know what you are getting into and if it’s feasible. Also, it helps when you arrive to have the passenger looking at an aerial shot in maps to look for areas that might be a possibility. Sometimes it is just a crapshoot though🤷🏻♀️.

If you are going to do much off-pavement camping with that long, low rig, you should consider doing a "spring over axle conversion" to lift your trailer 5 inches or so higher above the ground. This conversion simply moves the leaf springs from below the axle to above the axle to raise the trailer and give you more ground clearance. It is not too difficult nor is it very expensive. It will raise your kayaks and lower your stress level. Hope this helps.

Hey you guys - I plan to use my DRONE to scout for spots. You could fly low down the road and look for dips, etc. Fly high to find a good spot. Thoughts?? Yeah, it sucks to bottom-out, but good job keeping your cool! (I have pool noodles under there - that helps a lot). 😊 - Jim (The Mad Camper) BTW - your sticker is going on my truck with others. Thing is, THEY have fancy batteries. (LOL - sorry!)

But... but...Sheila, your upbeat attitude, your positive energy in how you were dealing with the issue was so encouraging! How you were so taken by the scenery, you didn’t let the trailer issue rattle you one bit. Very enjoyable and admirable. What the heck goes through your mind when this kinda stuff happens? Great camera footage Todd, it felt like I was right there with you, seeing what your seeing. Hmmmmm, what about a forehead cam like the flashlight? Cheers 🍻
