Just watched your video. Checked out the apartments online, they're two star! Two stars for a reason. If you wanted superior you shouldn't have expected any more than you got. Sorry to say it but you got what you paid for..,... Trip advisor shows reviews twice as many people gave terrible reviews than terrific. Next time do research your accommodation before booking.

I have holidayed in Fuerteventura for years and I have found that the accommodation I stayed in was basically furnished. I decided to book private lettings since and the standard of furnishings and fittings are way superior and actually cost less. You have ovens, four hobs, toaster, microwave and many have a dishwasher and washing machine. I return home with clean clothes in suitcases.

I have been there in similar circumstances. I tend to travel,as a single person tour operators and establishments think they can treat you like crap. Purely because your a ingle traveller. Last time I booked a double room for single use and when I checked in was allocated a single room even though I had paperwork stating I had booked a double room. Took over 2 hours and several phone calls and emails to resolve it. Turns out my double room was allocated to a couple and they assumed I would accept a single room. The hotel staff in Benidorm were very rude and condescending. In the end I was allocated a double room, but at a different hotel over 2 miles away in an area I didn't want to be in. That took over an hour to resolve. Single traveller's are treated so badly by holiday companies and establishments abroad. Its time this changed.

I once stayed one night. The receptionist, was so rude. I've never hit a woman but this lady brought me to the brink. I must have stood at the desk for a hour. She ignored me and kept on dealing with Spanish individuals. It seems she was going to deal with Spanish before any foreigner. Just what you want after travelling all day. My introduction to the fact that the Spanish do not do customer service.

Correljo and Jandia are beautiful even the smaller cheaper apartments have more going for them that hell hole shame on the receptionist lying and if the manager was in there the whole time shame on her for allowing that to take place.

I’d make sure you check out any reviews of future hotels you book before turning up and demanding you want a certain bungalow in a certain area.

That's not superior in Spain. That's a cheap no more than 2 stars corner in the street, but even being 2-star that doesn't excuse their behavior. There is a book in Spain in hotels, apartments, restaurants, etc, at least before at the time I lived in Spain. The book is named "Libro de reclamaciones". Clients can ask for that book to write their complains there. I have seen a person doing that for years ago and the manager turned instantly to be the world's best and "snällaste" manager.

Just do what I do. Book an apartment through VRBO, Airbnb, Holiday Lettings or Trip Advisor.vthat way you know what you're paying, where you are staying and what you are getting. Castillo Beach is a cheap complex and a superior apartment is superior to totally basic. Stayed in Castillo Beach in 2003 off a cheap auction site and it's just cheap and basic. What did you actually pay?

I stayed in these bungelows and I have to say they set the scene for the whole holiday. Really didn't enjoy the experience and wouldn't return. So sorry you and your family had to deal with such unsympathetic staff. But tbh I find that on every holiday abroad I have had to deal with rude staff and do prefer holidaying at home for the time being.

Although it's not uplifting, it is important to tell the truth about places like this. I've been to Feuteventura twice. Both times had a nice time. But we didn't book standard hotels. We booked direct with the owners of holiday places. A good place, but very out of the way, is Origo Mare. It's a complete holiday village, but built illegally in a nature reserve. So the unfortunate people who bought places can't sell them, though they do offer good rates on AirBnB or various villa rental sites. Part of the complex is managed by Pierre et Vacances, so they keep the swimming pools running, but part is just returning to nature. Empty swimming pools, plants going wild etc. It's very very quiet, which we like. I noticed that the Pierre et Vacances section does bike rentals. And as there is almost zero traffic it would be quite safe to rent bikes for children and let them ride around the place.

I’ve stayed in tHe same apartments 23 years we went back a couple of years and the place has not been updated in all that time even the mattresses are the same the microwave didn’t work the fridge useless we had to find a hotel at the end of the day it’s the worst place to stay in caste de fuste 🤷‍♂️😡

No. I paid for Superior Apartment and I didn't get it. They named a random hole as "superior" and sent us there, watch carefully. Though I doubt that there was something better that they could offer at all. Just avoid! Cheers.

I think this is just an misunderstanding. They’re giving you the standard of apartment you have booked, just not in the location that you looked at the day before - You can’t expect to request a specific apartment, you’re being very rude to be honest.

Ok I'm in the minority here. But Kam you were wrong and you were unreasonable. First of all if a hotel is 3 out of 5 on Google and has more 1 star than 5 star reviews, what did you expect. Your video is edited in a way which edits out a lot or their replies. Honestly it looks like an influencer/vlogger throwing a tantrum trying to get a free upgrade. You can review on stayforlong I have been for years. American and European hotel booking system is very different especially resort vs cities. In resorts they get more expensive on the sites and cheaper if you call because this promotes early booking so they know how much staff they need etc. When booking a room all websites especially booking oversell by calling something superior etc. If and when you showed the site if you kept scrolling down you would have seen more expensive which you were very careful not to do in the video. Sorry I think you should re-edit to show balanced video. I half expected you to say "do you know who I am" I am Irish I have no connection with this hotel and I definitely would not book this hotel based on the reviews but fair is fair. I have been to Fuerteventura many times and there is good and bad hotels but if you pick a badly reviewed hotel, you usually get a bad hotel. The customer is not always right and why should the hotel give you an upgrade. If you wanted bungalow no 2 pay the difference.

I have got some ridiculous comments but this one is winning by far. What free upgrade!? Didn't you see that I didn't get what I paid for?? She didn't even want to go through the ad with me, because she knew it was a scam. When I published this vid I had barely 2K views combined on my channel, so much about my influencer-ship. My intention was not to make any video at all, that's why I didn't film when I tried to check-in first. And what do you want me to cut and re-edit in order to satisfy you - their rude behavior, the dirty, nasty room or the cockroach? 😃 Do you know what? I absolutely think that you should book this hotel. You should book their "superior" and you should get thrown in a dirty, shady bungalow like they did with us. Businesses like this exist and rely solely on people like you, and that's definitely what you deserve.

Mate I understand your frustration, but you've paid 320 euro I guess that's for a week, which is beyond a bargain for a week. Im so fed up whith cheap tourism to Spain. Fuerteventura is prime location island with beautiful outdoors, volcanoes and beaches. And as previous comments say here , you should have make some research. I don't understand the drama. You will not find a week apartment for luxury service you want in that price anywhere in Europe, perhaps that whole week fare is a night fare at least for a family of 3 or 4. Ridiculous behaviour , poor receptionist might be in minimum pay, I feel bad for the lengths they have to go to deal with you .......You complain about the Spanish customer service stards, so entitled of you , amigo go holiday in Uppsala we don't need your 320 damn euros. I stayed there, no problems in my experience, considering I only spent £150 for the week on a self catering.yes the room was a little tired but for £150. It was acceptable. No internet FFS use your mobile data.lol😂
