They are both amazing builds. I would never go for a Chev though, and Ram would be a second choice. A Ford F-350 now that is the A+ choice build.

If you want a high GVM/GCM, you don't buy a 2500. Ram keeps their 2500s in class 2B (8,501 to 10,000lbs). Chevy/GMC and Ford cheat with their diesel 2500s and rate them so that they are actually class 3 (10,001 to 14,000lbs). So you are actually getting a 3500 light with the Chevy. Moving to the 3500HD SRW only adds 750lbs to the GVM with the Chevy, while the Ram 3500 SRW gives you an extra 1,400 lbs of GVM. Biggest GVM is any of the DRWs. They are all rated at 14k.
