Don't ever take any offers like these from the tuk tuk drivers. If you want to go somewhere, strictly tell the driver you want to visit the place, agree the price and then take the ride. If you are unsure, simply avoid and move on, it's not worth ruining your time in Bangkok. Use motorcycle grab, fixed price, simply ride from your place to your location, no need to agree on anything.

you can call the police on them, ive done it before, he was indian aswell. He immediately regretted it as I didn't bluff, and waited in silence for an awkward 30 mins. We stayed explained the situation, for 10 mins then left. Know your rights, and never feel pressured because your on holiday remember

This is a known Scam in Bangkok! I’d say you should avoid Tuk Tuks from now on or negotiate a price w/ them to take to your destination! Most of them that want to take you somewhere else are scammers!

The guy at the shop was stopping you not to film the shop inside or outside because, perhaps, they have secret underhand plan with Rickshaw drivers to bring the passengers to that shop. That would disclose the secret to the Rickshaw company.😊😅 And that shop is running a bad deals, you are lucky you escaped that trap as well. 😮

I think there was just a miscommunication there between you and a TukTuk driver. He wanted you to go inside the shop and pretend to be shopping around 10 mins. Then he would get what he called a “gasoline fee” from the shop for dropping off tourists. To be fair, he did not mean to scam you. He just wanted you to pretend to be shopping just “For” him to get the fee.

I am Korean I visit Thailand every year to play all the golf courses. In my experience, most Thai people are friendly and kind. Avoid famous tourist spots and tuk-tuks. Bangkok also has a great public transportation system. Use BTS, MRT, Grab, Volt. There are many good temples, good golf courses, and friendly Thai people in Rangsit, Bangsaen, and other provinces. Oh, and one tip: Thai people respect people who talk softly and whisper. I hope you have a peaceful trip in Thailand.

He told you what the price for 2 stop was 50 baht and 100 baht for 1 stop., meaning you look in the shop. They get comission, so some have 2 prices. One price for no stop and one price for 2 stop

In fairness to the driver he did say if you go into the shop, I get fuel money, he didn't say he would go into the shop, surely you have to read between the lines and if the shop has a no film policy just turn it off for a couple of minutes. The driver was upfront at the start.

Pakistani open their arms & heart for their guest. I have seen you saying maybe they like you because you are a Gora but the truth is when a Pakistani is getting a guest not all but majority they try to treat their guest like a king even if he is Pakistani doesn't matter... Now for Thailand you already got scammed going to China Town by overcharged Tuk Tuk & again it's same. Let me tell you 99.9% TUK TUK guys are roaming to hunt down a foreigner & scam them & if the person is smart enough to avoid their scam they become aggressive & humiliate the person by speaking in aggressive tone & body language in Thai... My humble advise is never ever take a Tuk Tuk instead take motor bikes ryders who are plenty available on roads or max take taxi service like uber not a Taxi roaming on road else they will also charge you like a hell. Always go with the meter in Thailand ... Also try changing your hotel to Sukhumvit where you will not fall in these traps by using the skyline train service ... Best of luck ... Love from Oman ... I do not live in Bangkok. But if I have to go for work such as seminar, I will not use tuk tuk for travel. Because they will charge expenses at Tourist rate. The travelers for work or daily life can use the subway, BTS or air-conditioned buses at a fair rate. I saw many foreigners in subway. If I want to buy a lost device such as a charger cable, I will go to a certified store or a distributor of notebook equipment. Then I can get the right equipment at the correct price. I don't go to the malls with those small shops. They're only for students or people who want second-hand items with the risk of incompatible. You intend to create content that seems to be unreasonable for a worker. Thailand is not a wild country with only deceptions. Even provinces that are far from Bangkok, there are also many certified distributors shops for any brands‘ note book. Are you really happy to make the dark content of the country you living?

i have seen that more of friendly people are from subcontinent specially sri lanka, pakistan, india, nepal, and from arab countries. especially arab countries, pakistan, and some of srilanka, india value hospitality rather than money. indonesians, malaysians are also friendly. but there are more rude people in other countries including thailand. they mean money. money is their first priority.

I got tuktuk scam who brought me to this kind of shop in Sri Lanka and India. Btw the shop owner who deal with Tuk tuk are Indian who are living in Thailand. You can easily see the face of the people in the shop, they are not Thai people.

The tuk tuk drivers get commission or fuel for stopping these places....we did that spent 5 mins to help the driver and then out.....then we saved on tuk tuk....and the second day same driver was kind and cheap all the time 3 days we payed 50 for 5 km 100 for 10 km around. So scam or trick.....i dont know what to call it....but yes the tuk tuk deiver should have explained properly....

Точно так же делают в Турции. Покупаешь дешевую экскурсию к достопримечательностям. Но по пути тебя завозят миниммум в 2 магазина с завышенными ценами. Если об этом не спросить перед экскурсией, тебя не предупредят. В итоге половину времени проведешь в магазинах.
