Avon's (purple team) defensive CB need to watch out during the season with different refs on the shielding of players. As a ref, I would have called obstruction 2 times as the defender blocking the striker was not engaged with the ball or going to it, but rather purposefully obstructing the striker from getting near the ball so her teammate could get to it and clear it (it's a fine line that many refs don't know to call...usually when I see shielding being 5+ yards away from the ball and the defender purposefully looking back with arms way out, then it goes into obstruction). Otherwise a good derby match. Really was anyone's game.
