Wow, after years of not playing, I randomly decide to start up again, and boom there's someone still making starter vids. Cheers!

the best tip for early game out there, rush a ship and captain asap splurge and get a miner captain first and then immediately send him on a scouting mission to reveal all asteroid sectors and then start a mining operation in that exact same area, turn on safe mode to lower ambush chance and set him up for 1 hour at a time, after the first op you should have enough materials to build a second ship and just keep sending him on 1 hour long mining operations so you can sell excess iron/titanium for credits, until you get to naonite you should always keep your iron and titanium stock above 2x the value of the ship you are copy pasting (other tip make/workshop 1 ship you like and use it for every ship you build until you need to diversify later on) that way you can replace a ship that gets destroyed if need be and you can repair as much as you need

big tips is also things like finding the huge asteroids to claim and sell to factions, i think its guaranteed that one of them spawns in starting area too iirc. People should also consider using even newbie lvl 0 captains asap to set up some basic mining ships because that frees you up immensely. Always check delivery missions as sometimes you get easy ones for good money (take this and deliver it there) which even helps you explore at start, and remember you can get a scanner to find green and yellow signatures on map to find even more of those big rocks to sell for 200k+ at start, and you can do it with a starter ship no probs.

Much appreciated! Also learned pretty late that scouting mission are super helpful in discovering larger chunks of the map.

my first task is always to get an R-miner vessel going. Does not need a miner captain, though down the line , a miner captain can have 6h+ mining missions giving you a generous amount ever 30min at a 3-5% risk of ambush (safe non pirate space).

R-type is awesome for sure. If you get really lucky you can get it early.

Hi DMG! Stumbled across your channel - been thinking about getting back into Avorion and you have lot of good content that would be helpful. thanks for time putting these together.

It's quite an increased rate when you get missions from resource depots. The cool part is that the general price is slightly better for sale even after you complete the mission. For Iron and Titanium it isn't all that relevant, but later on you can sell a ton of Xanion or Trinium at a great price if you need it after a mission asks for those.

this game seem like a hidden gem that no one talking about. like i looking for space mining game for a while and i only saw this game name once. maybe because it blocky graphic but who care if it's not realistic if it fun.

Do you perhaps have workshop designs that you find useful or recommend? I'm trying to find an agile mid game combat vessel, but it's hard to tell sometimes.

I have placed a few in some videos. I have one where I compared 4 starter ships and how to tweak them to be more practical

What's the difference between repairing at a station and just let your engineers to repair the ship itself if it doesn't lose parts
@Surr3alD3sign Жыл бұрын
well for one letting your engis repair the ship is totally free but takes FOREVER, you basically have to leave the ship totally alone to repair for like half an hour depending on how much damage its taken, and the repair dock is instant but will cost you some credits and materials based on your ships value
