Afyon was a key place in the independence war and was saved in the second day of Buyuk Taaruz(Great Offensive). Also, the first person who shot greeks when they came in Izmir was Ali Cetinkaya who also born in Afyonkarahisar. About Ataturks house, the house was the headquarters of Great Offensive where Ataturk, Inonu and Fevzi Cakmak stayed there to plan the Great Offensive and it is close to Kocatepe where Great Offensive began.

I am from Afyon. Atatürk won victory in Afyon on 30 August. The place where the first offensive started is Afyon. The enemy soldiers were first driven from Afyon to İzmir and poured into the sea. Also, Afyon's cream, sausage and Turkish delight are proud. I recommend you to try. .

Wow! That's my hometown... An amazing reaction video again. Thanks a lot!! By the way, there are two possible reasons why did they not go to the top of the mountain (it is a castle actually); 1-It is rather tiring... 2- Most of the people know about Afyon castle, but there are many other places to visit in Afyon. Probably they wanted to focus on other areas. If you want to watch the city from the top of it, I can take you there when you come for a visit. Lots of love and greetings!!

AV ben afyon da yaşıyorum. Kale adı Karahisar kalesi dir. 576 basamakla yürüyerek çıkılmaktadır. Atatürk ün evi ise kurtuluş savaşında harekat komuta merkezidir. Orada kalmıştır. Büyük taarruzun emrini verdiği ve kurtuluş Savaşı'nın başladığı şehir dir. afyon orada olmayan daha bir çok yer var . Afyon Dinar da Midas yaşamıştır. Lidyalılar Afyon'da yaşamıştır. Afyon İstanbul İzmir gibi kadim bir şehirdir.

AV ,You should definitely come to Sivas. Atatürk stayed 108 days in Sivas. Republic of Turkey was founded here. There is the room where Atatürk stayed in Sivas congress in Sivas. has been protected ever since. and open to visit.

Nice video. Afyon is a very important city in Independence war which took place between 1919-1922 . The final war started in Afyon and ended in İzmir (26 August - 9 September 1922 ) . That's why we celebrate 30 August as Victory Day.

This is the volcanic mountain,old people built castle on it and used it as castle in old times. Its name is Karahisar castle and people can visit it .Btw car cannot go to the castle😅 There are some rock stairs which were carved by old people. Idont remember properly,but there are 500 stairs approximately🤔,people can go to the hill of the castle by using stairs,in my opinion,it is so much exhausting that's why he didnt go to hill of the mountain

Actually you can visit Ataturk’s house in Thessaloniki. It’s not closed and everyone can visit. Yes, it’s inside the Turkish consulate but they allow to visit everyday. I visited several times. 👍

I want to give some informations, Firstly House of Atatürk is like a museum, youre right. :) Atatürk was originally born in Thessaloniki. And secondly The Afyon Castle so high and you have to walk. Therefore, they may not have filmed it, i don't know. Thank you for react!

Yes you can visit the castle on top, it is over 3000 years old. You can't use car so you have to go by steps and it's very hard people over 50 are not allowed to climb. Because of the situation of the castle it was impossible for anyone to conquer
