And still, we still do fake to some point ourselves around everybody else, it's like something very "human", its's in our nature. The song seems like it's talking about you, about "me", about everyone, that's why it's so frustrating. Kinda like the hedgehog dilemma, not being natural or true to yourself is something that doesn't make you happy and it's exhausting, but somehow necessary too, so you still do it because "life's like that", it's not all black or white, you have to act valuing pros and cons in every situation and so it's kinda difficult to balance both needs in society: you need to be true to yourself to some degree. You also need others to like and accept you to some degree (we're social animals). So the dilemma happens when you aren't able to balance both faces correctly, which happens too many times, sadly :'D Or that's how I interpret it anyway...
