I was born in 96, so in 2009 i was 13 years old, I didn't really understand the meaning of this song, but i sang with Avril every word and I felt sad. I loved it back then. But now, 12years later, I sang it again one more time, and I feel my heart that breaks in million pieces. Growing up is so hard. My grandpa passed away nine days ago because of a sudden heart attack. I miss him more when I’m listening to this song. My brother and I are 9 years apart and never really got to know each other. He moved out to join the Marines as soon as he turned 18 and since then, I've only seen him three times since then(I'm 22 now). The first time he visited us, he yelled for me to get in his car. I didn't know where we were going, but at this point I was in high school and he wanted to get to know me. So, I went in his car and found this album on the passenger seat- never opened. He bought the CD just for this song and we played it over and over before going to the movies and having a great day together. He's never told me he loves me, but that gesture right there let me know he did. Now, any time I hear this song, I think about that day and it makes me happy to know that 2000 miles away, I have a brother who acts like he doesn't care, but he totally does. :)
