This is the Avril I fell in love with when I was a young kid. Her music helped me get through some serious shit while growing up. First off, I'm not what you'd call an Avril Lavigne fan; most of the music I listen to is tons of alternative rock and pop from from 80s and early 90s. HOWEVER, the other day while driving my wife was listening to her late 90s/early 2000s pop mix on Spotify and this song came up. It instantly transported me back to my life during the early 2000s which by no means was a fairy tale, but it might as well be given the hell hole our society has become over the last several years. Those were much brighter, optimistic, and fun times without question. Hearing this song made me miss people, places, and things I haven't seen in nearly 20 years. I can't stop listening now...I just wanna go back 😩
