Fun Fact. Sk8er Boi was originally written composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart but he gave it to Avril Lavigne as it was “too deep and emotional” for him to preform.

To be honest, I feel like MTV would have be a key shift in society today, if you think about it. MTV was moving back then, and was catching a big crowd of viewers, respectively, for the channels openness to the punk/alt scene, and if it had expanded more in that direction more, rather than towards artists like modern rap of the 2008-2014 era, and cheesy reality shows, I genuinely think people would've revolutionized a little better if punk era became more common. I miss shows like scarred, MTV Music, Rob and Bigg. It became relevant, but it failed to proceed in that direction.

She is the real Avril Lavigne.This music is anti-feminist, since maintained feminists are known to be superb, and for believing that the world revolves around them, those pathetic feminists are still looking for the perfect man, that is, only "men" effeminates.

Been obsessed with this song for possibly the most pathetic reason. I'm trying to imagine what it must feel like to be the skater boy character and have someone love you so much they feel the need to brag about you to this extent. Imagining how wanted and loved that would make you feel.
@MrBlablabla119Ай бұрын
Hey I just wanna say I don't think that's pathetic at all. The desire to be desired is quite arguably the defining feature of what makes a human a human. We are desiring machines and, "desire is the desire of the other," in the words of Jacques Lacan. Imo it's really sad that music acknowledging that has been pushed out of the mainstream and only really exists in the indie/small label scenes these days. You're not alone. This feeling is probably the most human thing you could feel.

She is the first foreign singer I've ever known, and she was definitely my biggest motivation for learning English (considering I was 12 or something). Avril thank you so much for making my teenage years 100 times cooler than it was supposed to be.
