This song and video are perfect. I think that the "dead" Avril in the coffin in white dress symbolises innocence and the old, happier self that Avril burried. The other Avril dressed in black is just more mature, experienced. Avril is holding the Cross to emphasise that she still has the love for God as he saved her ("God keep my head above water,"). I also think that the man in the forest symbolises her lost love, as they are holding and then separate. I just love how Avril makes songs and videos that are beautiful and meaningful. I honestly love her new stuff, have yet to ever hear a bad song by her. She absolutely needs more recognition but I think she likes it that way she needs privacy I just wanna know who abused her this way. She has that beautiful song "birdie", about being locked up in a cage. She. Is. Everything!
