WOODFORD factory and its aerodrome 80 YEARS OF AIRCRAFT EXCELENCE
Charting the history of the famous Avro aircraft factory at Woodford near Manchester. From the highly successful Avro Anson in 1924 to the sad demise of the Nimrod MRA4. This facility has now been completely demolished. It is now a new housing estate of 700 houses. AVRO, HSA, Hawker Siddeley, British Aerospace, BAE SYSTEMS (ICAO: EGCD)

In my opinion this was such a historical site it should have been classed as a grade II listed building.
worth seeing is the Avro heritage museum housed in the former fire station. Complete. Avro 707 and Vulcan and other aircraft nose sections and memorabilia.
