Ze veranderde 'Our Decades In The Sun' in een Nederlandse 'Samantha' versie! En hoe groot is de kans dat we allebei een liedje over ouders kiezen en 'mamaaaaaa' voor elkaar zingen? Geestverwanten lijken we 🙏🏻 Samantha zingt in het Nederlands en heeft een carrière opgebouwd die het waard is om in te duiken. Ze zal de komende tijd niet alleen zingen, maar ze danst ook in een Nederlandse tv-show 'Dancing with the stars'! 🇬🇧 - Speechless she left me! With her beautiful and powerful voice and personality, she gave this Nightwish song an entirely new sound. But as heartfelt!!! She turned ‘Our Decades In The Sun’ into a Dutch ‘Samantha’ version! And what are the odds that we would both chose a song about parents and sing ‘mamaaaa’ to each other? Kindred spirits we seem to be 🙏🏻 Samantha sings in Dutch and has build up a career worth diving into. She will not only be singing the coming time but she’s also dancing in a Dutch tv show ‘Dancing with the stars’!

Same here! Even with all the different backgrounds and styles I can't help but feel connected to all them. Which is at the end what this show is about, true connection of humans of all kinds through music of all kinds too!

The secret is: The singers are invited without there partners, kids or managers. They choose the songs by themselves to sing for the guest of the evening, Floor in this case. Managers or partners can not make any influence on the singers, the singers are really free to make their own decisions. With the host of the show they are with 8 people. Every singer sings for an audience of 7 people, very cosy and small. Emotions will come out, when another singer touch the guest of the evening. And the sunny location where they stay, is Ibiza or something like that in Spain. Sun, beach, cosy and a beautiful stage, only singers and no mangers, will set them free. Thats the magic i guess.

Rocco Stafford They stay for abt 4 days on the island of Ibiza (hotel/finca Atzaro) not located near a beach. This year they were there mid April. In those 4 days they record over 50 songs, which they have practised "at home" the months before.

Samatnha did a great job with vocal dynamics in this song, from the soft beginning to parts when she had to really dig in and belt them out. Her voice worked beatifully with the music. Great props to the band that had to improvise in terms of not having the benefit of a full orchestra. :-)
