Also Laura Bretan....Rumanian singer.....incredible power, a real talent....worth watching her perform 'Dear Father' on 2019 Eurovision Rumanian entry...she didn't go forward to the actual competition, which I think was so sad.....she is also beautiful to look at!....Have you heard of Pentatonix? Her voice has an otherworldly quality altogether. I especially enjoyed the Armenian (folk?) songs she sings and was blown away (or rather: moved to my core) by her version of "I will always love you". Later I will look into Laura Bretan's Dear Father (never heard of her either(!)) and Pentatonix. The name sounds like they are a five person Ogene*? : ) I will see... In any case: Thanks again! Ok so before I really get into what I want to say about this amazing singer I want to say that my love of everything Floor Jansen is what brought me to getting completely stuck on KZbin looking at Beste Zangers clips for a period of time I should probably be ashamed about. As I immediately started to tear up during the first line of this uplifting yet also heart-breaking performance I was reminded about something the incomparable singer Linda Ronstadt said about famous Country singer Emmylou Harris that rang through my head as a statement equally true of Trijntje Oosterhuis (who is for me a new discovery), and I will paraphrase what she said here: It is as though she goes out onto the stage and pours herself out, pleads for her life and her sanity through singing, then when she's done picks it all back up and does it again the next night.
