From England. I figured this was worth a watch being on the IMDB 250, and I really enjoyed it. The film was very nicely made (I'll give a little nod to the fade-in at the 61 minute mark), and very well acted - the grandfather was the star of the show in my opinion. The scene where he's explaining to the family about Sadik's illness I thought was a stand-out - a lesser actor could easily oversell or undersell the moment, but he finds the right balance of a man trying to hold it together for his family's sake, but at the same time on the verge of cracking, and he toes the line just right.

I am a native Aegean. The dialect is spot on. Words, phrases, sounds, sound/word emphasis is perfect. This is one of the things that makes this movie so authentic and emotional. Actors and Actress' are all very famous and great artists. Music, implementation and timing are perfect. Subtitles are ok. For example: Exact translation at 1:29:37 can not even begin to translate the perfect use of the language.

The grandfather ( Çetin Tekindor ) is a great actor. Watch the beautiful scene with him and the boy with the horse . Deniz holds grandpa’s hand and how grandpa’s cıgar in his mouth shatters , as if he got an electric shock. Incredible strong scene.

its remind me to day may father was past away. he call me and ask me to rub hes back he was in pain i ask if you are not ok let me call ambulance or lets go to hospital and he refuse about three minutes later hes heart gave i was totally shock it was too late i still have regret didnt hug him that morning. its so hard to accept hes gone even after that much time short story end while still u can no matter whats the disaggrement with you and your loved ones espically your family go and hug them..
