Wow! You're a strong woman, Janelle. I'm from the epidural generation myself. That said, people forget that home birth was NORMAL until more recent times. My dad was born at home, on the farm, to my 45-year-old grandmother! God Bless!

I agree that Catholicism is a strict religion. Especially in these times, we should be cognizant of our mortality and that this world is, not our eternal home. We often complain about our circumstances... so how would we manage in Jesus's times? Congratulations on baby #8. You have your other children to help you plus Ken! May St. Gerard protect both of you and your family. I am looking forward to your advent relections! Maybe the baby will come in December.. and what a great Christmas present that is!

Janelle, I was 43 too when I had our 8th baby, Lucy! I was just having this conversation with my sister in-law that it is different being an older mom. I actually really like it. I feel like I'm so much more wise when it comes to certain situations vrs being a younger mom. My last 2 labors were so fast that I wasn't able to get epidural. But Ken is correct by saying suffering is hard but beautiful too! I love watching your videos! Thank you!

Great update and so glad to hear that blessing number 8 is almost here. Prayers and all the best!! Just to make sure I heard correctly. 9 months is around 36 weeks I am assuming. So I think you say in the video that by time this video is made you will be around 37 weeks (which is a tiny bit past 9 months/36 weeks yes?) and then she said the blessings have come early since you have never reached your due date (which I had thought doctors kind of plan 9 months/36 weeks from the pregnancy beginning) but then you say the latest you have gone while not reaching your due date (36 week/9 months I thought?) has been around 39 weeks or so. (which is about 9 months and 3 weeks) Isn’t 37 weeks and 39 weeks both actually going past a due date? (that’s assuming due dates are 9 months/36 weeks after the blessing was conceived yes?) Sorry for big tangent but it’s a great video and wanted to understand all the details you shared! Prayers for the best delivery yet! God bless
