It’s so draining to see our loved ones in irregular conditions but you can’t let that wear you down, because how can you care for them properly if you’re not caring for yourself. I don’t know you personally or that long but you stood out big time to me and obviously your grandmother wanted you with her in this absolute terrifying moment in what you’ve documented as a difficult life that hasn’t been her own to live. my grandma died 5years ago when i was 13 and i naver forget when i visit her after 3 months in cooma and she turn blind and had almost the same sutiation as yours so i fell you ,spend more time with her and show her that you care . and i enjoi you'r uploads♥,

Sorry to hear about your grandma, If the nursing home really wasn't taking care of her then please get proof and file elder abuse charges. If the stuff I hear about those cases it's never just one person getting treated badly. One last thing, It probably meant the world to her just hearing your voice. My grandma had a stroke and lost her the vision in the center of both her eyes and she loved to have all the grandkids nearby. Don't know how much it helps but you're doing awesome so keep up the good work

I don't know what to say , it's a difficult part of life seeing ppl you love get old and/or have struggles , health issues , that's nice you went to see her and spend time . Hang in there , it's ok to be sad , to process and give time to yourself ! it's also great to have anime and friend + us there around to cheer you up ! :D

P.S.: About not being able to grab your hand; human depth perception is calibrated for dual eye sensory input. With only 1 functional eye like your grandma, it's normal to mess up trying to grab things, since it requires you to gauge distance. You can read up on monocular depth perception issues, it's very similar to what you described. It's normal, so don't overthink it.

Feeling for you and the situation with your Grandma, take all the time you need. My mum has been blind since I was about 10 or so, so I feel you and her both for how devastating this must feel for you. Its a really sucky situation, and is going to take a fair amount of time to adjust. All I can really say is that you can lose your sight and still be happy and find enjoyment in life, and so all my fingers are crossed that she will adjust bit by bit and get whatever cheer back she may have lost through this. It's going to be a big change, but this isn't the end for her, or your relationship with her ❤

Sorry to hear about your Grandma, I lost mine two months ago she was 97. We slowly lost more and more of her over the years and towards the end all she did was sleep and eat a little, because she was practically deaf and blind and too weak to walk. Hope you can keep strong for her so that you can give her as much love to help her in this difficult time.

My grandmother died from a heart attack a while back. She visited me a lot as a kid. She got worse and worse, losing her senses until she passed. I can't possibly know but losing your sight has to be once of the scariest things that can happen to a person. Your grandmother's sight is irreplaceable but she is alive and can hear your voice. She's blessed to have a good granddaughter. If you play an audio based games with her or just chat, I'm sure she'd be very delighted with that. Maybe get her a radio/sound system she can control with voice..if the home she's at allows it.

Supplementary info/LN changes (Late and long comment warning, as they adapted around twice the amount of content they usually do per episode and there’s a cut chapter for S1, connected to this episode.) Fun fact: the noble’s voiced by Dio’s VA from JoJo. Also, my condolences. Unlike the anime, Darkness went to report the Hydra’s subjugation last episode and didn’t return for days (they didn’t eat the crab because they waited for her and Kazuma learned the Cooking skill offscreen.) Kazuma was crafting prototype Dynamite, but Megumin didn’t like something recreating Explosion and threw it out. During the recruitment scene, Megumin tries to make the guy go on a test to hunt a difficult monster by himself and there’s a reference/joke to KonoBakuen where Kazuma grabs her by the cloak and she says to not do that, because the cloak is a gift from a friend (Yun Yun.) In the LN, Dust decided to join their Party temporarily and went on a quest with other parties to drive away a giant Adaman Snail infestation at a farm (Kazuma used Snipe and Freeze to defeat monsters, while Dust struggled and had steel armor, showing Kazuma’s strengths, despite not being a Warrior like Dust.) Then, the next day had him ask Kazuma for help at the mansion and Aqua was there, too and Kazuma helps because in S1, there was meant to be a chapter (wasn’t moved to this Season, either, so it was cut completely) where he swapped parties with Dust (Dust failed the quest with the girls) and carried the entire cocky, Intermediate Class party, because unexpectedly the easy Goblin quest had a Rookie Killer (shown in KonoBakuen) watching over a Goblin army that was bigger than what was expected (30) and used his Basic Magic and Lurk to keep them all safe, which earned Rin’s trust and they formed a friendship, which is why she views him highly and didn’t get mad at Kazuma (Kazuma also projects Darkness onto Rin and yes, the Kobolds moment this Season is the opposite version of the Goblin army fight, because he chose to protect Aqua with good intentions.) For worldbuilding, that camera is a magic item as expensive as a house. Megumin brings up Soketto in the LN, referencing KonoBakuen again, while Kazuma worked on making stuff because of Vanir’s prophecy. The LN showed how he snuck in, by using his bow to form a tightrope and broke into the mansion with thermal shock on a locked window (using Tinder to heat up glass, then using Freeze) which he learned when he had Chuunibyou and looked up dangerous stuff as a kid. Fun fact: in the LN, the chef called Norris by his first name, Chuck (yes, the author made a character named Chuck Norris.) Darkness tricked Kazuma by having him sit next to her, before screaming, in the LN (also describing what would happen after Alderp’s marriage was a bit more graphic and he started cooling off with thoughts like grandmas and Dust in lingerie, because of the situation.) Since Darkness has no experience, she held his hand in the air and Kazuma moved his hand to her abs, after 2 seconds (LN, he’s currently not in love with Darkness and didn’t want to take advantage of her vulnerable situation.) They cut a short fight between Darkness and Kazuma, where he used Drain Touch and used momentum to his advantage (and Freeze), then used his famous Create Earth and Windbreath combo (first time in the anime, but was used in Wiz’s first meeting, the Party Swap, and in the castle raid a few episodes ago.) Ignis Dustiness’ scene here is similar to the one from JoJo Part 1, with a sick dad trying to do the right thing for his child (Kazuma used Ignis’ advice, but Darkness still refused, even when Megumin and Aqua were mentioned.) Like Megumin, Dust has a spin-off series focused on him (Vanir’s the only other character with a Spin-off and since this is their first true appearance in the anime: Dust the Warrior is 18 and Rin the Wizard is 15.)

I've had nurses mistreat and neglect my grandfather when he was recovering from a stroke as well, It's actually appalling how terrible some of the people working in the healthcare industry are, this isn't a mcdonalds summer job where you just clock in and out, people's health and lives are on the line! About the story with your Grandma ,its really sad to hear and a shame that good people like you have to suffer like that, the only thing that i can think about which might help is to show her that she's not alone and try to make her excited about what is to maybe come in terms of Buddhism/Christianity or else, if that makes any sense ,2 years ago i lost my father so i know very well how severe grief and feelings of guilt can be, i wish you and your Grandma strength.

Poor Kazuma, man. I truly felt bad for him this episode. He did everything right and was prepared to do anything for Darkness, but he still got rejected and hurt. The healing he requested in the end was for his emotional pain. Also, this is like the 4th time he got the opportunity to be intimate with Darkness but he keeps passing on it. It's obvious by now that he's not interested in having any sort of romantic or sexual relationship with her. The exact same could be said about how he views Aqua, since he couldn't be more platonic towards her. It seems like the only one he's starting to grow feeling for is Megumin, which seems to be mutual.

I feel like this season was needed. Darkness always got boiled down by fans to her masochism, this season we get to start to see so much more of what she deals with beyond her fetish. Sorry to hear about your gandma, but always put your family first. Father knows how much his daughter cares for Kazuma, and sees how much Kazuma cares for her; and would rather have them together then some rich noble who only lusts for her.
