Thank You KUSI for allowing freedom of speech and press and actually going after the story to want to learn more. It's so sad the conversations I have had with people who have bern gripped with fear due to the isolation. It changes a persons outlook, emotions and eventually outcomes in their life. We aren't built to understand how this situation will affect the human spirit, however GOD and the Bible does as well as the community of this church. Before one can condemn, one should seek understanding and compassion and work along side to solve the situation. Thank you Ps Jurgen and KUSI.

I walked away from a very large church in this city mainly due to the fear they were promoting through covid. I respect how Awaken has trust in God to keep its members safe. You either trust God or you don't. As a church if you are too worried about being politically correct I rather not be involved. Wearing mask to church just a sign that you do not believe that GOD will protect you. A form of faithlessness, I'm so glad to of been introduced to this great church,

Looks like they are taking good measures. Why not enforce a mask for internal gatherings? One can still support the community, be together and do this in a safe way. They can still pray, be with like minded folks, hear the sermons, etc., and be safe.

If it’s makes someone personally feel more safe to wear a mask then one should do so, or stay home if you are sick or not comfortable being outside and seek support and prayer. There is zero science in a surgical mask, or polyester cloth mask corona virus is very small it goes right through masks or to the side unless you are in a fit tested N95 and that’s not 100 percent. To say someone can’t go into a church to practice their religion which is a constitutional right without a mask in the name of safety is ridiculous it’s pure totalitarian politics. I think this church is amazing, and the pastor is amazing for taking a stance.

He never claimed to force temperature checks. Very few places force them because there is no scientific evidence that it has a major impact on identifying and preventing the spread of Covid. And no one is being pressured to attend in person.

Political church. The church is where the word of God is preached, not politics.

The word of God talks about what people should do relating to the government. And it talks about how society and people should act and behave. If that isn’t affected and related by politics then what is?? Acts 5.29 says "But Peter and the apostles answered, 'We must obey God rather than men.'" 1 Timothy 2.1-2 says "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way." The church NEEDS to be talking about politics.
