@@WildViews9 It's as simple as basic manipulation tactics and love bombing. Now that I've mastered spotting the tell tale signs, I can easily deal with it much sooner. The only reason I held on a bit was genuine love but that doesn't matter in a situation like this. You can't fight another's demons for them, they must do it on their own. Which given the obsession, clearly isn't happening. She must love and confront all parts of herself. Not for my sake, but because she genuinely deserves happiness and love despite her mistakes. Just not from me.
