There was a story in an anthology movie called 'Robot Stories'. In this story it was possible to upload your mind into a hive computer. Furthermore they could calculate your exact moment of death "by natural causes". So the society made it illegal not too. Every elderly person was to report for download the day before they were to die so they could live forever. The protagonist is an old artist that uses clay. His son tries to explain to him that he can continue his art with 3-d printing. In the end the old man broke the law and went to the woods to die. Because '"I need to FEEL the clay"
