@estebanjavierruizcerda9526 The Substance is comedy/ horror movie. Most scenes stimulated the audience giggles and often loud laughter. For me, it was the best comedy I have been in the last 5 years, seeing the crowds going wild laughing and giggling. This can not be subsumed under drama; both the GG and producers recognized that from the crowd reception.

The Substance is horror/ comedy so its placement was correct. I haven't seen people laugh in the theatre as much as in this movie for so long. The whole crowd burst in loud laughter the entire movie. If that wasn't comedy, then I don't know what comedy would be like

Am I the only one who just doesn’t understand how Kieran Culkin could possibly sweep the entire awards season?? I loved him in Igby Goes Down & Succession but A Real Pain was not his best work. It feels more a popular win from his success in tv than for his performance in the movie itself.

Not surprising there are those finding reasons not to predict Adrien Brody. He has a reputation of being very difficult. He always thought he should have been a bigger star. But he's made some really bad choices that made him not bankable.

I do see Torres being a possible upset Actress Drama win a la Isabelle Huppert. Whether that translates into momentum for other awards bodies like BAFTA or Oscar is another story. For Original Song I'm going for Mi Camino. El Mal is the I'm Just Ken showstopper while Mi Camino is the What Was I Made For easy-to-listen song sung by a popular singer. Mi Camino has been HEAVILY pushed by Netflix, with more featurettes and FYC panels with Ducol/Camille devoted to that song more. It won the Astra and while that show doesn't mean much, I see that as a sign where Netflix's priorities are. I still think Wild Robot has the edge over Flow because Wild Robot is heavily seen and has 3 other nominations, while Flow has the lone nom. Boy and the Heron last year was a box office hit and had the additional Score nom like Spider-Verse too, so I see Wild Robot emerging as the victor of Animated in the end.

I agree people are finding a reason to "nedict" Brody as said so well by Joyce, like Cillian Murphy last year. Also, Brody is more "disliked" by people online than Murphy ever was because of his antics from 20 years ago when he won and hope for some form of "justice" that he gets canceled for smth that happened over 20 years ago.

Why does Joyce keep ignorantly saying Glen Powell would've won under the old Globes? Jesse Eisenberg still would've won because in the comedy category they always voted for the performance that's more likely to be an Oscar nominee like Amy Adams for Big Eyes, Jennifer Lawrence for Joy, and Awkwafina for The Farewell. Joyce has clearly got blinders on memory of past history.
