I was in Nashville this weekend and wanted to attend The Belonging Co servic, so I went to the 11am service. On my arrival I was hit with the aroma of coffee, only to be greeted with a coffee bar as I entered the building. Many were getting their caffeine fix before service. As I entered the atmosphere of the church I found it very oppressive. I was caught off guard by the heaviness in the air, not what I am used to when visiting a Spirit filled church. As the first service exited I was surprised to see so many unsmiling faces leave the auditorium. Where was the joy!?People were not greeting each other with a smile, there was an avoidance mentality. I didn't see nor feel that since of community. All through the service, I tried to enter into to Father presence but found it very hard. The worship was entertaining and the message sounded good. Yet the whole time I felt more warn by the oppressive spiritual atmosphere. After I left and got back outside I felt the heaviness lift. I felt warn, tired, not uplifted or refreshed as I am accustomed to at home. Overall, something is spiritually off at The Belonging Co. Like I said, it was a good show, but it deeply lacked the presence of God Spirit. My heart is sad, and I am currently lifting this experience up to Father to help them with whatever is going on.
