I used to go to Christmas parties at DC Studios. He was a super nice guy and is missed by many. I LOVE Champagne and their music transcends time. I am very thankful that You Tube allows past music to be posted for people that missed past eras of the best music (arguably).

Those were them days. I never got hold of the other albums. I have "How about Us" and I pump it all the time. It always gives me a good feeling as if I am hearing it for the first time.

clarke's rambling on about the groups clothes clearly shows that by the 1980's it was him that was dated and behind the times.

Vince Burden I actually can see Dick's point about the clothing, particularly socks full of holes. Definitely interesting.

Dick Clark was great at patronizing every act that came on from comments about they're names, outfits etc....and all under the guise of innocent humor
@epoulos1082 ай бұрын
He was cheap too and hardly paid these acts anything.

Rena what happened to her? No info on her or KZbin?

She married the guy on the left, Mike Day. She went on to perform as Rena Day. I think she went into gospel, but I could be wrong. Mike Day died just a few years back.

Did that pretty lady die too? Of what? The black guy died?
@Wiser723 жыл бұрын
The lady didn't die. But she was married to the guy with the beard playing the Chapman Stick (far left .) He passed away from cancer in 2001.

Annoying guy was Dick Clark who owned half the music business at the time.

Don't know why I thought of Michael Day, but did. Amazing to know how Jesus changed both he and Rena. I'll never forget Rocky playing at his funeral.

Dick Clark is such a terrible interviewer that it’s entertaining to watch...in a cringeworthy way.
@Dirty_Squirrell3 жыл бұрын
He wasn't really there to interview. Depending on the amount of time in the show, an interview could last from 30 seconds to just a few minutes. These artists were there to sell their records for their labels and Clark was smart enough in the 50s to realize tv could bring kids and the music they wanted together for a profit.
