January 26, 2007, while patrolling in Baghdad, I got shot in my head by a sniper. I was told afterward that I wasn't breathing but had a slight pulse. I was in a coma for 3 days, and I had to relearn how to walk, talk, read, write, and feed myself all over. I was on meds for life for seizures, but by his stripes, I was healed, and it's been 9 years since my last seizure, and I'm no longer required to take the seizure medicine. God has been too good to me, I can't thank him enough, nor repay for what he's done for me.

I remember one day, after being laid off from my job I opened the refrigerator, and nothing was inside. We were broke and my wife was pregnant with our second child and our first was still a baby. At that very moment, I looked up and told GOD I trusted HIM no matter what. NOT EVEN A SECOND PASSED after saying that, someone knocked on my door, and left groceries, formula for the baby, and diapers. I just started listening to this amazing worship song and I burst out in tears, because at midnight I usually read my Bible and talk to the lord, but I was so tired from not enough sleep the night before ,that I fell asleep at 10:00pm .when I woke up it was 12:35pm and I got my Bible and started reading ,but sadly again I fell back asleep and woke up at 1:29am .my dinner that I had cooking on low was burning at this time.but I was able to read two prayers and went to fix my food. In 2006, while working as a nurse, I had 5 strokes. I was in a confused state. Unfortunately the nurses around me thought I was just overworked and groggy. I finished my 17 hour shift, drove home and had another stroke. I was dxd with Brain Vasculitis. My brain arteries were 98% occluded. Every time I went to church or fellowshiped, I asked for healing. 7 years later, all my arteries opened up, except one. Initially I was supposed to live only 3 or so years. But then God smiled. I came across this song and was truly blessed. It is now my everyday song. God is so good; he has taken great care of me. I was a single mother who raised 3 boys who are now 42,39, and 35, with children, and i never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging for bread. I TRUST GOD. Wow my church would sing this song didn’t know who made it . The last couple of years has been so hard , first I was in a motorcycle accident, then lost my job , then got diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. Then my bladder was giving me problems, then I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that makes it hard to make a fist sometimes. After that my ENT told me I have a deformity behind my left ear , truck got repossessed thank God I got it back . Then my landlord told us they were selling the house we’re renting . My birthday was on Tuesday April 19th last year and the Saturday of that same week my husband divorced me after what would have been 6 years of marriage. I had gone on my knees twice telling him to forgive me for things I didn’t even do but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. I thought I would die as I married as a virgin and hoped and prayed to make this work! There were nights I would wake up and pinch myself to be sure I was still alive! I would cry over my two kids and wondered if I would be there everyday to see them grow. But God came through for me. Sending the right people my way to help me through the pain and hurt. God never leaves nor forsake His children. When I chanced on this song which I already know the old version it melted my heart and gave me renewed hope. My husband has been battling memory loss and we are praying against young onset dementia. Tonight, i couldnt find my husband. We live in Chicago and its -5 degrees. He was putting salt outside on the steps and wandered off. I panicked first and sought the Lord. I drove around looking gor him. Then called the prayer warriors and then the police. Myhusband was found 40 minutes later, safe and walking to his aunts home that is not too far. I trust God!! In this. In whatever the future holds. After over 40 yrs of verbal abuse from my husband who had that disease of alcoholism.. But I stuck in their. He was killed in a accident with an 18 wheeler. He would treat me so bad that I would wish he was dead. But God knew I Loved him I just hated his habit. I didn't think it would hurt so bad. He passed in August 2023 and I'm still going through. Thank you LORD. My oldest daughter was driving us home from my daughter’s birthday party. Her 13th birthday was the next day. My daughter who was driving is 18 she lost control of the car all we could do is YELL JESUS. We ended up slamming into trees. Both my daughters and her boyfriend all walked away. I was holding my daughter in the back seat and have a broken arm. The police,ambulance, people pulled over and they said thats nothing but GOD THAT YOU ALL WALKED AWAY.I CANT THANK HIM ENOUGH. I listen to this song every morning before I start my work day. It is such a blessing to my soul! A few years ago, we were homeless at Christmas time. We were driving around in our car praying for a miracle. We were constantly turned down for housing, and things looked bad. My youngest son began to read scriptures aloud. I stopped crying and trusted God. One day, we were driving around and a realtor called offering us a three-bedroom house for only $500 monthly. A few years later, we moved into our own 10-room house, three acres of land. God took us through. And I am still serving Him today, because HE is a faithful God.
