Awatoto Railway Bridge

Scaffold access was required to build the temporary railway bridge after the original bridge was destroyed by cyclone
Gabriel in February 2023.
This video was taken at low tide to show both working lifts of the scaffold.
At high tide the water rises above the top handrail.
Toe boards were removed on the bottom lift to reduce water forces generated by the tides.
