Away Resorts New £9-Million Eco-development - Mill Rythe

We headed down to Mill Rythe on Hayling island to check out their stunning new eco-development, focused on creating a more sustainable future in the holiday industry. Here you will find only renewable energy, EV charging points and all-electric holiday homes.
Away resorts are pioneering new concepts in order to help our beloved planet. With so much on the line with our environmental impact, now couldn’t be a better time to analyse our carbon footprint…including how we holiday!
Over nine million pounds has been spent on this amazing development, taking us in a much needed direction for the industry. Every holiday home now has the infrastructure to have EV ports installed, meaning no worry about travel if you own an electric vehicle. All new holiday homes will be electric only, which will reduce carbon emissions by 48%.
But it doesn’t stop there. Away resorts have really put a lot of thought into this park and we cover to what extent in our video overview. This includes their beautifully eye-catching new restaurants, fun new facilities and the numerous ways they are making an impact on being eco-conscious!

We stayed recently and, whilst the park is lovely, the lights were on all day in The Missing Squirrel even on beautiful, sunny days; and there were no customers. The lights were even on in the covered outdoor seating area in the full sunshine - not terribly eco-friendly I am afraid.

I am fedup with all this eco crap being forced on me, it is all a pupe dream. We cant afford it.
