His shirts have to go somewhere, and his signature on the back seems like a pretty standard thing you’d want too. I’m glad you’re so excited. I collect a lot of signed stuff and whilst others may have forgotten more than I know I'll add my tuppence worth here for what its worth. This indeed could be match worn, it looks pretty clean and clear but that isn't a bad thing I have matchworn shirts that have been handed to me by the player and there sometimes isn't a mark on them, eventually any damp/sweat will dry and there's no trace at all of the game. Usually things come with a COA and whilst these are a fantastic peice of mind that is all they are and they can be faked. The story 100% adds up as to why there wasn't a COA provided. Its likely it will turn out to be match ready as opposed to matchworn but either way it is still a fanatic thing to own. I really hope it does turn out to match worn and you get solid proof behind it.

My guess; the signature is 100% legit as the shirt itself. Messi clearly took his time to sign it, cause it looks very tidy. Otherwise you’ll find the signature in some weird place and not this clear. Players are given several shirts on the matchday and they can still ask for more. He probably grabbed one of the shirts he had (could be the one he worn or some other from that lot), signed it and gave it to this bloke. Even if not match worn, still a very valuable shirt.
