The game is growing we have a lot of American fans who do not support an MLS team but do follow a European team exclusively. Now I will say MLS games and fans of the sport in the US are more inclusive and are a close community because it is still new to some. The animosity and anger is there in other leagues lol NHL and NFL you can catch a fight form time to time and fans going back and forth. There is more history and rivalry though in those leagues they MLS at this point. We do respect and genuinely love the game here. I'm 30 and my generation has grown up on the game and playing it. Yes we have other major sports but we still love soccer/football lol I know most of us during the EPL season will watch whatever team you follow in the EPL in the morning and NFL in the afternoon. We do love it and hope that love continues to grow in the US we aren't all bad here folks

Sure here in Ireland we get our football culture from what we see on TV so Americans are putting there own spin on it like we do here, then again American soccer might be different than here in Ireland because they get financial support unlike here in Ireland where our top flight team stadiums have the same quality of the lower levels of league 2 English clubs, but we're just as passionate if not more than anywhere else 😂 So ultras are a lot more common here because to even attend games is dedication

Like mentioned, it’s a complete culture difference. You can be an away fan and enjoy the whole stadium etc etc without having to fear for your safety in any way. When I was 12 coming up for 13 I went to Super Bowl XXX (30) with my Dad back in 1996. We where supporting Pittsburgh Steelers they where playing Dallas Cowboys. Anyway Dallas Cowboys won & on the way out of The Stadium in Arazona we seen a Steelers fan had over a magnum bottle of Champagne to a Cowboys fan The Steelers fan had bought it to drink if Steelers had won. Now Pittsburgh Steelers & Dallas Cowboys have the largest fanbases in The U.S.A in terms of Sports. To put it in to context it's Like Rangers & Celtic getting to a Champions League Final in the same season fanbase wise. And Say Celtic win & a Rangers fan hands over a magnum of champagne inside the Stadium to a Celtic fan without cracking it over the Celtic fans Skull this would never happen. But in America it would so different culture 100% a different culture. Keep Safe..

Genuinely love this video. As a uk based MLS fan I’ve been an advocate for the league for considerable time when I hear stereotypical British based vans mocking it. The league continues to get stronger and stronger. I first started watching the MLS when Toronto joined but only because two players from my English side Norwich where I have a season ticket joined them and I was intrigued. I’ve supported Seattle since their incarnation all because of a Football Manager save I did many years ago. I LOVE how game day isn’t just 90 minutes and leave early to beat the traffic like it is for so many in the uk, it’s an all day event in the states. Me and my friends love Norwich but we don’t go for the football (we ain’t that mad lol) we make a day of it. Just like in this video. Love that side of it. Love my American sports anyway but love this side of it. Sadly too many muppets ruin the football experience in the uk for us to ever be able to experience game like they do in the USA. One day maybe. Would love to see you visit more mls teams. Seattle especially, nothing tops it.

Subscribed! Thanks for enjoying a match here in Orlando! While we may not have the history or dedication that many fanbases do across the globe, there are thousands of us who do want to help this club and city grow. This club is also purely Orlando. Although most of our state and country are unaccepting, we are a very inviting city who accepts all people. We also love to throw a good party. Look forward to your future videos!

I went to the States football coaching in 99, football ‘soccer’ was just picking up & womens/girls football was more popular than the mens football! A lot of the lads that were playing football were probably playing because they didn’t make it or enjoy the American sports. I loved it out there.

No ,men play more soccer than women in usa, more than half of American soccer fan are men ,only in Australia ,soccer is women sports, Australian men don't like football /soccer

One thing that will forever inhibit the growth of American game is the size of the country. Brazil has a similar problem, but America is even bigger, and doesn't have the Amazon taking up half the country, with no teams in that area to worry about traveling to (before anyone says Manaus they don't have a top league side). The best part about English game is the local rivalries. Makes the game so much better. The closest games, outside of derbies in America, are usually 2-3 hours away minimum. Makes it harder for away fans to travel/create the need for an away section. Also makes it harder for us to ever have promotion/relegation (Franchise system also inhibits this)... local teams end up playing each other more than teams on the opposite coast.

I don’t get why people are shitting on MLS fans in the comments. Yes, they’re not as intense/passionate as fans in other countries but it’s definitely getting better every year. You can think of the way they support as the “American way”. I also wouldn’t even say Orlando has the best atmosphere. I suggest going to LAFC, Portland or Austin.

The owner of the bar is a top guy, he's always interacting with customers. Living in Orlando Florida for 11 years, i've been to many American sporting events, the atmosphere always feels rehearsed and especially in Orlando it's more of a day out than the final score. But everyone has fun and enjoys themselves which is what life is all about

Brit in America here. Considering it's still not really a "mainstream" sport in the US, it's pretty impressive how far the MLS has come in a short timespan, and it gets unfairly mocked by Europeans. Brits in particular tend to have this weird gatekeeping mentality when it comes to Americans actually trying to enjoy and appreciate the game.

Another great video Ellis! Here are my two cents, for what they're worth, I was born and raised in Brazil and when I first moved to California about 15 years ago going to LA Galaxy games were dreadful because I truly missed the flags, the loudness, the roughness of the experiences I was used to in my home country. However, nowadays, I've seen an incredible investment and growth on the fan experience here in America. There's some rowdiness, chants, flags, drumming, etc... and it is still welcoming to all. I still miss going to matches in Brazil but I always have fun when I go to one here in America as well. Cheers mate.

Now Ellis that was one of your best and most interesting videos. Really like how the Americans celebrate their day out at a game of football. Back in the 80s i lived in Gibralter for a couple of years, and used to drive up to Malaga to watch top spanish football. The game was celebrated similar to there. We arrived 4 or 5 hours before KO, and just enjoyed the atmosphere in the sun before the evening game. It was too hot to play in the afternoon then. The food and drink was wonderful, with Tapas on stalls everywhere. The game really was an anticlimax in some ways, because one had spent so much time on the event. One could see that in Orlando the game was a day event, and the people went home happy and probably very tired. Trouble is that wouldnt happen in europe because of the fan animosity towards one another. Also, over here no one looses happily. Really enjoyed this eye opener into MLS soccer..Dave in Berlin

8:49 brings up another interesting part of American sports. We aren’t fans if one team, but (generally) of places. Them yelling ‘Knights’ comes from something UCF, a college team from Orlando does. So, yeah they’re at an Orlando SC match, but no matter what event you’re at you’re never not a fan of your teams in different sports
