*ryosuke voice:* The lan-evo 8 is a powerful machine. But like so many other 4wd cars, it has one major weakness. It's super-front-heavy distribution wears out the front tires quickly. By the end of the race, it will begin to suffer from persistent understeer. The Evo may seem overwhelming with it's rapid corner entry, but as time goes on, it will struggle more and more with front grip. The subaru's four wheel drift ability allows it to save it's front tires and distribute the load, but it lacks the agressive turn-in of a tuned EVO. Whether it can keep up long enough is the real question of this battle.

But isn't the Impreza also a f4 car? I mean it does have have the 4wd system which makes it slide easily, but than will wear down all tires. The both cars are powered to all wheels, it make them go faster with less tire degradation, but Impreza is in disadvantage giving it all specs. I would say the fight is determined by the skill, will and luck of the drivers.

The Evo's AWD system behaves very different. It tends to power slide when the tires' grip is exceeded, whereas the Subaru tends to understeer. The Subaru's AWD system works better with a more weight-transfer-oriented approach, which helps to reduce tire wear. The Evo can attack more agressively (especially this evo, which was very agressive), but it heats up its tires faster.@@lancerfrom2007

*Jun kitami voice* : The impreza is a legendary car, a haughty rival to the legendary Lan Evo. The 22b is the legend of legends within the impreza lineage However, the genetic curse that plagues the line of Impreza's, the boxer engine. The head gasket cannot sustain much stress before failing, each tune increases the risk of it wearing out. It all comes down to three things, how much care the driver took into rebuilding the engine, how much did he maintain it and lastly, how much is he willing to push it. (someone in the background : Wrong franchise bro !!)

The 22b actually has a very durable engine, the ej20 and 22 are known to last well over 250k miles. The EJ25 is the one with all the issues from being overbored and undercooled. @@then00brathalos

@@gelatinous6915 It depends, well, impreza has been always the best chose when it comes to rivalry to lan evo and better at corners. (I forgot that it is very light compared to lan evos)

Tsuchisaka is a really rewarding place to race in an AWD. The slow sector at the beginning with several 90-degree turns and consecutive S-curves are great for the stability of these cars. Furthermore, the descent sector after the tunnel has an incline towards the inside, which makes it easier to enter the curve with drift. It's really fun there

If you open more on 45/50 m before the curves you should be cornering faster, all the track with and 22b you should be able to run without braking at all
