AWESOME Creative Zen Hybrid 2 Headphone Review

Hello and good evening. I received the Zen Gen 2 headphones last week. Been trying them out and I can say that yes they are better and yes they're worth the money. The sound is more refined than the Gen one. Especially after updating the firmware and the headphones. Unlike the Gen 1 the Gen 2 software does not require An account. Although the update took quite a while it was sort of worth it. They seem to not have so many peaks after the update. Otherwise the headphones are amazing in that they seem to dish out highs and lows and midranges rather well. I played around with various enhancements through Windows Sound and none of them seemed to make any difference. The headphones are going to play the music the way they wanted to play it. but that's okay. The automatic noise control has three different levels which works well. And there's even a latency level for gaming which does improve the situation somewhat. The sounds are more immediate not that there was really much delay in the first place. I did not try the headphones with the cord i'm not a big fan of 2 channel stereo anymore. The 5.2 Bluetooth does make a difference I did try the headphones on 5.0 and 4.0 Bluetooth. It's not a big difference but you can certainly tell there is a difference. Finally the headphones are lighter they're a bit more comfortable and the material around your ears is the same plush leatherette material. I definitely give these headphones a 9.5 out of 10. That's only because I never give anything 10 out of 10. Thank you and have a nice day.

I can't believe creative cheaped out and didn't include a cloth bag. The previous version came with one.

hello sir . i have read several reviews and most people say that the bass is so much that covers everything else when you are listening to music.have you experienced such thing ?

Thanks for the review. Given the economical pricing, would you recommend these over Bose QC45, Sony XM4, Senheiser Momentum etc?

I can't be objective in answering that because I am cheap! Actually, they are my go to headphones right now, and yeah, I don't try to buy really expensive headphones so it's hard for me to make a comparison

Considering the price difference - is it worth buying the Zen Hybrid SXFI? I am not planning to use this sxfi sound too much and they are double the price to rhe zen hybrid 2 - are there any other reasons to buy the more expensive one apart from the special sound option?

Hello and thank you for your review. I too used the Sound Blaster, they worked well. I also bought the Gen 1 Zen headphone. Love it but does the Gen 2 sound better ? Does the Bluetooth 5.2 make a difference? I have Bluetooth 5.2 output from my PC. Again, thanks.

Hi, Can you please tell the cup size. Because most of the over the ear headphones that I bought cant cover my ear comfortably.

Yes. The bass is set way too high and I can't change it with the B&O equalizer. Much too high. It's wrecking the rest of the music. It IS overwhelming. It really is. The normal Hybrid Zens are much better. This sounds okay. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the review! Do your ears touch the interior of the cushions? Because I heard that they are shallow.

Not that I have noticed - of course my ears don't stick out too much but so far so good.

Thanks for the review! One question, is there an app from Creative that allows you to change headphones settings, for example an equaliser?

Thanks...I wasn't able to find one. I did see mention of an app "Creative Super X-Fi app" but I couldn't find it on the app store so I don't know if I am missing something or if they discontinued it.

I found the app in the IOS App Store. It is just called ‘creative’ and the ‘super x-fi’ option is a sub category within the app😊
