I’m a long time subscriber (I lurk in the shadows) I wanted to share with you how much you and your sweet husband help me. I suffer from severe anxiety and due to Pancreatitis meds that could help me I can’t take. When I’m having trouble I watch you and lately your estate sales vids have been such a help. Your sweet voice and how you talk slower and in low tones is better than any medication I’ve ever had! I just wanted to say thank you for being a beautifully sweet authentic person who helps others without even knowing

@kellymcfadden7514- I am unable to take some medication because of my Pancreatitis, some meds will make my pancreas hurt so bad I end up hospitalized.

I was at Joann one year after Christmas when they were putting all of their remaining Christmas merchandise in carts at the front of the store and told people as they checked out to feel free to take anything they wanted. I wish more stores would do this rather than putting it in the dumpster!

My heart goes out to all the homeless people who are struggling..The holiday season, ppl tely on food pantries, blessing boxs, and dumpsters to eat. There are other downstairs divers besides Kelly and Alex who put donations In the blessing boxes especially.. And for that, I am eternally grateful.. I was a homeless person, I speak from personal experience.. And people don't think it could ever happen to them, but it does..

Hi Kelly and Alex. Those trays that you use for crafting are also great for starting seeds for your garden. The nice thing is that you can wet the bottom and tear it off and plant the rest in the dirt, it will break down into compost and not hurt the environment. Great dive today. I’ve been enjoying your daily posts. I rarely comment but have been watching since you were diving solo (about 3 years ago) but really enjoy that Alex has now joined the channel full time. Hope you both had a great Christmas and looking forward to seeing what the dumpsters and life will bless you with in 2025!

Alex we are so glad you are feeling better. We are older and used to love to see sunrises and sunsets but we don't get out like we used to. Thank you for letting us enjoy your sunrise it reminded me of my grandmother she loved that pink and blue color called it sky blue pink. Love your videos

It’s good to hear that y’all like illegal dumps. I like them too. I hear a lot of other dumpster divers that hate them and don’t even look through them. I have found so many valuable items in an illegal dump that I look forward to looking through them when I find them.

Hubby and i got up at 5am today, heading to the lake with a couple of our kids.( i say kids but they have grown kids of their own, and grandkids as well.) Anyway we went passed 2 dollar general stores. 😢 hubby wont take me diving. Thoses two dumpsters were screaming my name.. i even told him there were probably tons of snaks in them he still said" I am not stopping!" 😢 so he got not snaks.😅bully. My cat, looking like yours is named "Lil Man" because he gets the job done, he takes care of things, including policing for mice and chipmunks. He also has conversations especially around meal times. He's rescue, being born outdoors and acclamated, then fixed. So now he is in my care. Happy New Year to "y'all"

Edited: I guess I need to stop pausing the video to comment lol. I posted the below before the part where Alex looked it up. Last year some of the divers in California said the waste companies had started installing cameras on the dumpsters so they can monitor when the dumpster gets full. That way they only send trucks to that stop if it needs to be emptied and it saves them unnecessary trips, time and money. Love watching yall!

Hello! You can use the "smooshed" bread or any bread to make bread crumbs! Add spices and use to season chicken thighs!

Sad to see those stores close, but thanks for the heads up.. I personally think the Dollar General ...Dollar Tree any discounted places such as those are what's causing some of the bigger stores to go out of business ....but that's just my theory.. I I believe Bed Bath & Beyond is pretty much a gonner too..

I-waste sounds like it monitors how full the dumpster is so it gets emptied before it gets too full or if it isn't full delays emptying it. That should eliminate unnecessary emptying but orders an extra empty in between if the dumpster is full.

I shred my papers, it’s amazing how people can get info even on receipts, especially when using credit/debit. Even remove those courier labels, even the barcodes.

The eye waste thing is a dumpster monitoring camera to track fullness, contamination,and documenting what is being thrown away.

That was interesting to know... I knew someone who worked at a grocery store and they explained how the most expensive item is at the average eye level, Nearly out of date stuff goes on the top shelf... I personally think more paper Should be recycled rather than put in the downstairs... And don't get me started on styrofoam my goodness everything has to be cradled in some piece of styrofoam..
