Been awhile, and with SGDQ 24 going on, I thought I'd do some revisiting. Really appreciate the comments and glad there are more Blasto enjoyers out there. Worth mentioning that this is a really old run and as such is slow compared to others that made an effort. So feel free to give the game a look up and see the improvements.

OMG I totally forgot about this game! I had a demo disc from some gaming magazine back on the day that had this game on it I think as a secret and I played it like crazy!

Just for the record you do not have to clear out episode 1 nor do you even have to go to the bathroom in episode 2 for the secret ledge that brings you to episode 5. It is however more fun that way, but from a speedrun standpoint that is a huge waste of time.

Weird to comment on an 8 year old comment I know, but I was having a stroll down memory lane and happened to see this. I can assure you, this is the only way to do these warps. The platforms do not exist unless certain parameters are met. We've tried many different methods and glitches to try to either activate the hidden platforms or see if they are in a different location to no avail, and currently there is no recorded method otherwise, speedrun or casual alike. So, if you happen to know a different way to do it, by all means, please share. Now, did I have to completely enter the bathroom to peek on the alien? No. Not at all. But GDQs are first and foremost a showcase for entertainment than anything and to maybe share some things not seen before. I wasn't shooting for a WR (and frankly haven't really played since this run).

Awful Block is kind of a misnomer. Half the games (this one included) aren’t that bad, they’re just quirky.

There actually is a way to skip the dialogue. Just turn the dialogue volume down to 0

I loved this game as a kid, but now trying to play it, the controls are super clunky.. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this game aged like milk instead of like a fine wine.

Funnily I've had the opposite reaction. I was expecting the controls to be really bad, as I remembered the game being very difficult, but I actually found them responsive and precise and even ahead of their time, although with some minor problems, but nothing uncommon for the early 3D era platformers.
