Fantastic - exactly what I was looking for! I've been trying to find out how to get that pixelated glitch particles effect and it was the mosaic blur all along that was the missing ingredient.

Hey i got a question I noticed you have multiple colors in the glitch effects you put more effort in, how did you do that? Also how do you layer the displacement? Great tutorial by the way

Dammit It thought i would be the first one to redo the Andrew Cramer Glitch XD Nice one :) One Tipp for the Glow pass. Use a Chromakey du make a Mask based on the Alpha to get all the Stuff that isn´t white or Black/Transparent. :) That way you will not be Animating the Glow. and Have it more Procedrual :)

That's what I want to know. How do you invert the 2nd bkgd? Because it's not working for me.

@@ramonbmovies @12:10 An instance node has all the attributes of the parent node, that's why when you create it, you should either manually (like in the video) move the parent node or use the node's transform/rotation sliders, and then you'll see the second node hiding behind it. I couldn't get it right at first try either, but my issue was that I had typed in the wrong equation. It's a long tutorial but if you follow step by step, you'll get it right.

Question - It will be cool to apply this glitch effect on either static image or video clip too! if I try to apply this glitch effect on an static image as MediaIn instead of on a text title (meaning to use the displacement matte formed by the 3 TurbulentNoises/MosaicBlur/Bitmap/Trasform, etc on an static image input instead of on a text) , it seems I need to avoid the image shifted/extended to one side in the beginning (like the text rolling from 1 side in the beginning to the center, which was desired for text glitch, but looks kind of weird for image ). Should I keyframe the Displacement node X Offset from 0 at frame 0 to -1 at frame 40? Any other way?
@JakeWipp
@JakeWipp 3 жыл бұрын
What you are saying sounds like it would work but I think you will have to play with it to find out how to get the best results. I have only tried it on images that have a transparent background around them so they look just fine with the same animation as the text. Let me know what you end up doing. :)

@@JakeWipp Hi Jake, thanks for the reply. Yes, I ended up keyframing the Displacement node like I wrote, and it works. I also took out the Tintensity node as that doesn't doesn't seem to do any coloring work for me when the image is not transparent (?). Also I only implemented the 1st part of your tutorial doing glitch on the image without adding the reflection and ground plane. I really like the glitching effect result on the static image, and so far yours is the best looking glitch effect than any other fusion glitch effect KZbin tutorials I have seen to simulate the look of Cyberpunk logo. Really nice work and appreciate your effort! The other thing is - more than a glitching effect, I feel this can be a great looking block transition effect on images or videos when using a combo of different X/Y Size in the Transform nodes in displacement matte , to achieve the sophisticated results like showing in motionarray.com/premiere-pro-presets/modern-blocks-transitions-142005 or motionarray.com/premiere-pro-presets/block-transitions-and-presets-45626 . That's way cool! Thanks again.

@@ericchen1205 Hi! I am so sorry that I didn't see this. KZbin flagged it because of the links that you sent! Thank you very much for the kind words! Those transition packs that you sent look really cool! I love the look of them! I'll keep it in mind for a future pack! Thanks!

@@JakeWipp Hi Jack, thanks for catching my comment, and appreciate your great work. I do hope you have a chance in the future to create the type of advanced transition and effects showing on the motionarray web sites I listed in my last comment message. There are tons and tons of cool looking and high quality AE and DR templates sold there that are much more difficult and cool than the common "1000+ seamless transitions" everywhere, and I wish with your skill caliber can create something of the next level!

Hey Jake. How do I get the turbulent noise add on for free. The link in the description requires commiting to paying and signing up. Do you have a link for a free download?

The whole process is completely different and difficult to follow when using the default fast noise node.

Never mind. I managed to do without it using the built in fast noise. Looks different but I suppose it's unique.

If you use FastNoise instead of the Turbulent Noise and if the TinTensity Plugin works in 16 then yes.
