Awesome Kone M Series lifts about to be replaced @ North Main St. Car Park in Cork

Cork is starting to become like Galway when it comes to old lifts. They are nearly all gone. I’d say the Merchants Quay lifts are also on the way out soon because the last time I was there, out of 4 lifts, only one was working. I wouldn’t mind but they are excellent lifts and if they were maintained properly (it’s probably the fact that parts are not replaceable), they could last at least another 20 years. Same goes for the Paul Street ones. It all seems to be down to lift companies not making the parts for older lifts anymore (which we all know is done deliberately so that they have to replace them) and owners being told that new lifts are more energy efficient.
