It breaks my heart Satchel Paige wasn't allowed to pitch in the MLB until he was 42. Paige would have an award or three named after him if the leagues were always integrated. I think Skenes might get an award named after him by the time he retires. Not saying Skenes is as good as Paige, but the best talent with best movement as a rookie that I've seen from a power pitcher.

He was a rookie in the minors, proving he could pitch against grown men. The fact that he only has 11 starts can't be held against him. How many rookie pitchers are skipping over the minor leagues entirely?
