AWESOME shore arcade! Hollywood Arcade (Ocean City NJ), 4K arcade walkthrough & tour, August 2024

Today we're checking out the Hollywood Arcade on the Ocean City NJ boardwalk. This is one of three major arcades along the boardwalk -- well, now two, considering that Gillian's Wonderland has officially closed for the season and closed permanently as well. But once Playland's Castaway Cove reopens theirs, there's a good chance they will return the arcade as well. In any case, Jilly's Arcade further down the boardwalk typically has more of the modern games, but Hollywood Arcade has a lot of the games that are a decade or two old, so there's a lot of retro nostalgia goodness in this spot. Come take a look and see what they've got!

I like this Arcade. My biggest draw I remember coming to this Arcade was when they used to have Cruis'n Exotica and while there, That Was the game I would most often play when I go. When I was a kid, when you say the word Arcade, you think of one that would carry this game. Looks a little bit different without it now. Was that way seeing the photos and videos since the summer of 2018.

always good to see an original star wars trilogy arcade machine !! those are growing more rare. same with ocean hunter and HOTD.

Maybe I might give that arcade a try some day. That South Park pinball machine I saw in this video... some of them they don't bleep out certain obscene words like that one I came across at an arcade in Ortley Beach, NJ back in 2009. When you put in the second quarter, the bus driver character (I forgot her name) says "How would like to suck my (BLEEP!)?

This arcade is always good to play older machines from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s you barely see anymore, like Duck Hunt and Confidential Mission. Downside is the pinball machines are not often repaired and/or in rough shape (like the Data East Batman with it's ripped up playfield), and the only changes for them is when machines get removed (two machines that used to be there with the other six was Stern's Simpsons Pinball Party and Sega's Viper Night Driving), but still better to have them there than not I guess since they're roughly playable. I am hoping the owner will have a change of heart and get those games repaired and maybe bring in a few new ones too.

I really miss playing Viper Night Drivin'... I'm a sucker for the old Sega machines most of the time.
