I use 2.5” anti-static loc-line from modular hose. That in combination with a bathroom fan to vent outside works perfectly. No need for filters.

Thank you for coming up with an affordable fume extractor. I have wanted one for years but the prices have been prohibitive for the amount of extraction I needed. I had a fan that blew out of the window. Comparatively, this fume extractor is a bargain. I ordered one!

That thing is so quiet compared to some of them! I just watched a demo of a Katto for $79 that sounded like a F16 taking off, and it was only a carbon filter with the option of a "HEPA like" filter, whatever that means.

Thanks for informative video. Just one question. Would you rate this extractor good enough for soldering in bedroom where i sleep? I have window next to working desk and plan to ventilate when soldering and after it. I plan to solder few hours a week.

Can you show the fume extractor from the back while sucking fumes. There are many videos showing that these fume extractors don't really do anything. Example kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmHTpXSrrbCJeK8 I want to buy one, but I dont want it only to remove the smell. I want it To remove the toxic fumes. Not shoot them out from the back back into the room. I watch all your videos. And enjoy every single one. But this one has left me confused.

​@@SubjectiveFunny I like the suction power of mine. It is a way better. Also I do not use filters, the fumes are going outside of my apartment via pipes and it is very convenient. Maybe I will upgrade it to use filters and dont open my window. It is a great project for a new people in the electronics world ( like myself ).
