My wife has her PHD in environmental science. she graduated a few years ago. i find it fascinating, and as a hobby we help people organize support for local environmental issues. Our most recent endeavor was focused on stopping a gas pipeline from flowing through our local forest. we were able to stop the pipeline by running a successful petition and by drumming up support via a local media campaign. I'm glad to hear that Nicole is studying environmental science. The field needs more people, and everyone counts!

That sunset was quite dramatic, and you didn't have to get up early to see it. Sunrises are beautiful, too, but I've never figured out how to 1) stay up late (because I like the night when it's dark and quiet), 2) get plenty of sleep, and 3) see the sunrise. I figure 2 out 3 is not bad.

I think people have died falling off both Lions Head and Table mountain. Lions head is pretty easy and accessible so people like to go up there and drink sometimes!
