A brief video of some of the highlights from the March 2018 Sydney Pelagic organised by SOSSA. It included my first albatrosses - a Wandering type (probably Antipodean but there was some discussion about Gibson's) and three Shy-types (probably all White-capped). Beyond that there was a plethora of Flesh-footed and Wedge-tailed Shearwaters, a couple of Short-tailed and Hutton's Shearwaters which I failed to get on film, plenty of Grey-faced Petrels out beyond the shelf edge plus seven Gould's Petrels, one Black Petrel and the highlight for the big listers, a White-necked Petrel. I saw a Wilson's Storm Petrel briefly but alas no penguins as we left the harbour. We did see Risso's and Bottlenose Dolphins plus a False Killer Whale and lots of flying fish. An absolutely belting trip and one I would love to repeat in due course.
